The aim of this deck is to FTK your opponent using only Synchro monsters, with Immortal Dragon being the most important combo starter in the deck. There are plenty of different types of card archetypes used in this deck, including Mikanko, Synchron, Wight/Zombies, Blackwing, Assault Mode, and more. The idea is to make it as easy as possible to summon Immortal Dragon, which is why the deck has multiple cards that can easily summon a level 6 Synchro monster (usually without even using your normal summon!). The deck also runs a few cards for dealing with hand traps, which, like most combo heavy FTK gimmick decks, are its hardest counter. The combo begins as follows:
1. Synchro Summon Immortal Dragon using one of the many cards that can easily make level 6 Synchros. There are 3 primary methods that allow you to do this:
-Special Summon Supay, Duskwalker by discarding one card, then special Summon Supay from your hand or deck.
-Normal Summon Gozuki, Samurai Skull, or Armageddon Knight then activate its effect to send Plaguespreader Zombie from your deck to the Graveyard. Special Summon Plaguespreader Zombie from your Graveyard by returning one card from your hand to the top of the deck. Note that you will not be able to summon Koa'ki Meiru Guardian if you use this method, since the deck has no way of special summoning it.
-Special Summon Psi-Reflector from your hand or deck with One for One or Emergency Teleport, then use its first effect to add Assault Beast from your deck to your hand. Use the effect of Assault Beast to add Assault Mode Activate from your deck to your hand, then use the second effect of Psi-Reflector to special summon Assault Beast from the Graveyard by revealing Assault Mode Activate in your hand, and increase its level by 1 so that it becomes a level 5 monster. Alternatively, you can Normal Summon Psi-Reflector to activate its search effect (if you didn't start with Emergency Teleport or One for One in your opening hand), or Normal Summon Assault Sentinel (if you didn't Start with Emergency Teleport, One for One, or Psi-Reflector in your opening hand) and activate its effect to special summon Psi-Reflector from your deck.
2. Activate Immortal Dragon's effect, sending Wightbaking to the Graveyard: this will also change the level of Immortal Dragon to the difference between the level of itself and the monster sent to the Graveyard, making it level 5 (since Wightbaking is a level 1 monster).
3. Activate Wightbaking's effect, add both Wightprince and Wightmare to your hand, then discard Wightprince.
4. Activate Wightprince's effect to send Skull Servant and The Lady in Wight from the hand and/or deck to the Graveyard.
5. Activate Wightprince's Graveyard effect to banish itself, along with Skull Servant and The Lady in Wight in order to summon a King of the Skull Servants from the deck.
6. Activate the effect of Wightmare in the hand to special summon your banished Lady in Wight to the field.
7. Use Immortal Dragon and The Lady in Wight to Synchro Summon Diabolantis the Menacing Mantis.
8. Use the effect of Diabolantis the Menacing Mantis to send Fengli the Soldrapom from the deck to the Graveyard.
9. Activate the effect of Fengli the Soldrapom to special summon itself to the field.
10. Use Diabolantis and Fengli the Soldrapom to Synchro Summon Power Tool Braver Dragon.
11. Activate Power Tool Braver Dragon's effect to equip 3 Equip Spells from the deck to it: "Infernoble Arms - Durendal," Mikanko Water Arabesque, and Mikanko Dance - Mayowashidori (if you already have 1 or more of these 3 spells in your hand, equip them to Power Tool Braver Dragon).
12. Use the on-field effect of "Infernoble Arms-Durendal" by sending it to the Graveyard in order to add Infernoble Knight Oliver from the deck to the hand.
13. Activate Infernoble Knight Oliver's hand effect to special summon it to the field as a level 1 monster by sending Mikanko Dance-Mayowashidori to the Graveyard.
14. Use the effect of Mikanko Water Arabesque to special summon Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko from the deck: this will cause Water Arabesque to equip itself to Ha-Re, while returning Power Tool Braver Dragon to the Extra Deck.
15. Activate Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko's effect to add Mikanko Fire Dance from the deck to the hand.
16. Use King of the Skull Servants and Infernoble Knight Oliver to Synchro Summon Formula Synchron (optional: activate its effect to draw 1 card).
17. Use Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko and Formula Synchron to Synchro Summon Junk Speeder.
18. Activate Junk Speeder's effect to special summon Stardust Synchron and Cyberse Synchron from the deck.
19. Activate Mikanko Fire Dance to special summon Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko from the Graveyard.
20. Use Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko and Cyberse Synchron to Synchro Summon Herald of the Arc Light.
21. Use Herald of the Arc Light and Stardust Synchron to Synchro Summon Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon.
22. Activate the effect of Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon.
23. Chain the floating effect of Herald of the Arc Light to add Ohime the Manifested Mikanko from the deck to the hand.
24. Resolve Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon's effect to special summon any level 1 Tuner from the Graveyard.
25. Activate the Graveyard effect of Mikanko Dance-Mayowashidori to special summon Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko from the Graveyard, equipping Mayowashidori to it.
26. Use Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko and your level 1 Tuner monster to Synchro Summon Cupid Pitch.
27. Activate the effect of Cupid Pitch to decrease its level by 1, making it into a level 3 monster.
28. Use Junk Speeder and Cupid Pitch to Synchro Summon Geomathmech Magma.
29. Activate Cupid Pitch's effect to inflict 800 damage to your opponent, then add a monster with 600 DEF from the deck to the hand. Since Blackwing - Oroshi the Squall is the only monster in the deck with this DEF value, it's the only option to add.
30. Use Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon and Geomathmech Magma to special summon Phantasmal Lord Ultimitl Bishbaalkin.
31. Activate Bishbaalkin's effect to special summon 4 Utchatzimime Tokens (5 if you put Bishbaalkin in the Extra Monster Zone) to both players' fields.
32. Activate the Graveyard effect of Stardust Synchron to special summon itself from the Graveyard by tributing one of your tokens.
33. Use Stardust Synchron and 2 of your tokens to Synchro Summon Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight: this will activate its effect to inflict 800 damage to your opponent.
34. Use the hand effect of Blackwing-Oroshi the Squall to special summon itself to the field.
35. Use Blackwing-Nothung the Starlight and Blackwing-Oroshi the Squall to Synchro Summon Dark Strike Fighter.
36. Activate Dark Strike Fighter's effect to tribute Bishbaalkin, this will inflict 2400 damage to your opponent: your opponent should now have 4000 Lifepoints remaining.
37. Activate the hand effect of Ohime the Manifested Mikanko to reveal itself in order to add Mikanko Kagura from the deck to the hand, then discard 1 card.
38. Activate Mikanko Kagura to Ritual Summon Ohime the Manifested Mikanko, using Dark Strike Fighter as the tribute requirement.
39. Because you Ritual Summoned Ohime the Manifested Mikanko with Mikanko Kagura, you can destroy cards your opponent controls up to the number of equip spells with different names in your graveyard and inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed. Since there are now 4 equip spells in your Graveyard, you can destroy 4 of the tokens your opponent controls and inflict 4000 damage to them, winning you the game.
Other cards in the deck and their uses:
-Desert Locusts: Discards a card from your hand. You want to Synchro Summon this card if you have a way to summon a level 6 Synchro monster in your opening hand, but also start with a card that needs to be in the graveyard, such as Wightprince or Plaguespreader Zombie.
-Blackwing - Boreastorm the Wicked Wind: Can be made with any of the level 6 Synchro enablers except Supay, Duskwalker; sends Blackwing-Zonda the Dusk from the deck to the Graveyard.
-Blackwing - Zonda the Dusk: Can banish itself from the Graveyard to special summon Assault Blackwing-Kunai the Drizzle from the deck.
-Assault Blackwing - Kunai the Drizzle: Can change Blackwing-Boreastorm the Wicked Wind to level 5 in order to Synchro Summon Baronne de Fleur for an omni-negate.
-Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru: Searches Koa'ki Meiru Guardian from the deck. Can also be banished from the Graveyard to prevent Koa'ki Meiru Guardian from being destroyed by battle or card effects for 1 turn.
-Koa'ki Meiru Guardian: Has a monster effect negate on-field by tributing itself. Needs to be Normal Summoned.
-Dragged Down into the Grave: Gives you information on your opponent's hand and allows you to remove a potential hand trap. It's strongly recommended not to use this card before using a card in your hand necessary for the FTK combo, in case your opponent discards it.
-Reinforcement of the Army: Searches Armageddon Knight from the deck. Do NOT use on Infernoble Knight-Oliver or Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko.
Side Deck cards and their uses:
-1x Called by the Grave: Generically good against most hand traps, and also stops most Graveyard based card effects.
-3x Crossout Designator: Can negate any card your opponent activates that is also in your deck. Primarily used for negating handtraps, though you will need to run at least one copy of that handtrap in your own deck.
-1x Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring: Played as a Crossout Designator target due to being the most played handtrap in the game. Can also be used to stop your opponent from searching, milling from the deck, drawing cards, or special summoning from the deck if going second. Needs to be in the deck to fulfill the activation requirement of Crossout Designator.
-1x Droll & Lock Bird: Another Crossout Designator target which needs to be in the deck to fulfill its activation requirement. Can also be used when going second to stop your opponent from conducting multiple searches from the deck.
-1x Infinite Impermanence: Another Crossout Designator target which needs to be in the deck to fulfill its activation requirement, and one of the most played handtraps in the game. Can also be used to negate any on-field monster effect when going second.
-1x Nibiru, the Primal Being: Another Crossout Designator target which needs to be in the deck to fulfill its activation requirement. Can also be used to punish your opponent after special summoning 5 or more times in one turn when going second.
-1x PSY-Framegear Gamma: A powerful monster negate that's still worth running against decks with heavy hand trap usage despite recently being limited on the ban list. One of the few going first cards that can stop your opponent from disrupting your combos.
-1x PSY-Frame Driver: Required to use the effect of PSY-Framegear Omega, but a Garnet otherwise if drawn.
-3x Prohibition: Stops your opponent from shutting down the FTK with handtraps by declaring the name of one of said handtraps. Particularly useful against Infinite Impermanence, which can only be negated with Crossout Designator otherwise.
-2x Small World: One of the best generic monster searchers in the game. Used to search one of the combo starting monsters in the deck if you don't draw any in your opening hand.
These are just a few of the many hand traps and interruptions that are strong in the meta. Feel free to swap out some of these hand traps with other cards, such as Effect Veiler, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion, D.D. Crow, etc. Going-second cards, such as Lightning Storm, Triple Tactics Talent, and Evenly Matched are not recommended due to the need for multiple forms of setup and extension for the combo heavy nature of the deck.
Lastly, if you use any of the methods that involve using Plaguespreader Zombie to Synchro Summon Immortal Dragon and/or Blackwing-Boreastorm the Wicked, be sure to shuffle back any Garnets you may have drawn in your openinig hand to fulfill Plaguespreader Zombie's special summoning requirement back into the deck. Potential Garnets include:
-Blackwing-Zonda the Dusk (needs to be sent from the deck to the Graveyard with Blackwing-Boreastorm the Wicked's effect)
-Wightprince
-PSY-Frame Driver (if swapped in from the side deck along with PSY-Framegear Gamma)
-Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring (if swapped in from the side deck along with Crossout Designator)
-Droll & Lock Bird (if swapped in from the side deck along with Crossout Designator)
-Infinite Impermanence (if swapped in from the side deck along with Crossout Designator)
-Nibiru, the Primal Being (if swapped in from the side deck along with Crossout Designator)
The following cards are run at 2 copies in this deck and are only considered Garnets if both copies are drawn in the opening hand:
-Stardust Synchron
-Cyberse Synchron
-King of the Skull Servants
-Wightbaking
-Plaguespreader Zombie
-Fengli the Soldrapom
-Assault Mode Activate
