Swordsoul has promise that none can truly expect from a newly released deck. Unlike ones we have seen like "Tri-Brigade", "Salamangreat", and "Agents"; Swordsoul is not as bipolar with their options, and has a very straightforward arsenal. Does the TCG often call something straightforward a winning strategy with? No, not since 2008. However, "Swordsoul/Xiangjian" has the honor of being the first of its kind in years for this feat that decks like CHAOS control and TeleDAD has done in it's reign.
LV8 synchro monsters are played like they're going out of style for this deck; however if you are a charlatan (or haven't played in the Zexal era), you maybe familiar with the Draglubion package (TL;DR Number 97 is ranked and goes into either Number 38, or another XYZ Dragon that is also a Number monster). I'm not gonna take time to sugarcoat the rest for you because it is just as similar as the day it has been released in the OCG; but we get 3 "Crossout Designator", a banlist that is more of a nuance than a threat, and anything but Maxx "C". Also "Pot of Desires" is in there at 2 copies because it's a waste of resources playing 3 (my advice is to play "Triple Tactics Talent" over this if you want your Crossouts to have more targets to dispose).
