Summoner of Illusions (SoI) is a Level 3 LIGHT Spellcaster Flip Monster whose effect is "FLIP: Tribute 1 other monster, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, but destroy it during the End Phase of this turn." This effect is not optional and will be a mandatory activation on a new Chain after SoI is flipped face-up. SoI is an interesting Flip Monster to play in Prediction Princess due to the multitude of monsters it can access. While it can be better or worse than Prediction Princess Flip Monster staples like Deus X-Krawler, Pot of The Forbidden, Whirlwind Weasel, Guard Dog, and the new Enneacraft - Astay.PIXIEA depending on what you Summon, I am going to go through every single immediately beneficial Fusion Monster that you can Summon off of SoI.
There are 4 conditions that need to be met for a monster to be on this list: (1) The Fusion Monster MUST BE ABLE to be Special Summoned via SoI. (2) The Fusion Monster must provide some kind of immediately beneficial effect, whether it is interruption, protection, or being able to avoid destruction during the End Phase to provide you some benefit next turn. (3) Monsters whose only useful effects are ones that activate in the GY, that trigger when the Fusion Monster leaves the field, or that modulate ATK/DEF or deal burn damage do not count. (4) I am avoiding monsters that require a greater degree of archetypal investment to make use of their effect (Ex: Playing cards that spread Predator Counters for Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon 's effect or playing Ashened cards for Veidos the Dragon of Endless Darkness's effect).

INTERRUPTION DISRUPTION ERUPTION These monsters, while they may not negate a card/effect, all have some way to interrupt your opponent's plays, whether it is by popping a card, banishing a card, stealing a card, manipulating your opponent's cards in their GY, or through other means.
Aiwass, the Magistus Spell Spirit can Quick Effect target another face-up monster on the field during the Main Phase and equip itself to it. A monster equipped with it gains 1000 ATK/DEF and if equipped to your opponent’s monster, you take control of it, but it can’t activate its effects. Aiwass is the only Fusion Monster summonable off of SoI who can Quick Effect steal a monster your opponent controls, which is a really nice interruption that also gains you a resource.
Invoked Magistus Omega can target a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Monster in your GY and 1 monster on the field and banish both if it is Special Summoned.Omega is a fine card, but compared to the other Magistus Fusion Monster released as a part of their OCG Stories support, Zoroa, the Magistus Verethragna, it leaves a lot to be desired. Still good, but there are better options, even within its own archetype.
Invoked Augoeides can target and destroy a monster on your opponent’s field on Special Summon or if your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) to their field. I like Augoeides. Unlike other Fusion Monsters with an on-Summon effect, Augoeides’s “on-Summon” effect doesn’t have to be used on its Summon which makes your life easier with not having to time flipping up SoI.
Invoked Raidjin can Quick Effect target a face-up monster on field and change it to face-down Defense Position. Book of Moon is a pretty nice card and being able to get a monster on field to do the exact same thing is cool. I’m not saying that Raidjin is bad, but there are definitely better and more worthwhile things you can Special Summon off of SoI.
Schuberta the Melodious Maestra can, during either player’s turn, target up to 3 cards in any GY and banish them, gaining 200 ATK for each in the process. Schuberta provides some really nice GY control. While it really does depend on what you are up against, it still can make a difference when you are facing the right Deck.
Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon can Quick Effect send a Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that mentions Fallen of Albaz as material to banish 1 monster on the field. Doesn’t matter about the rest of the effect as it's going to be destroyed during the End Phase anyways. Mirrorjade is pretty nice, but you aren’t really benefiting from the send like a Branded Deck would. The best option you have is sending Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon to search a Polymerization or Fusion Normal Spell from Deck during the End Phase.
Despian Proskenion can Quick Effect, during the Main Phase, target a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Monster in your opponent’s GY and either banish it or Special Summon it to your field. Proskenion is actually not that great in Prediction Princess, mainly because of Deus-X not guaranteeing that your opponent will get an Extra Deck monster onto the field and then into GY and since you are likely not going to have the board space to Summon a monster with Proskenion, making it only able to banish, which Schuberta still does better.
Gaia the Magical Knight of Dragons an Quick Effect, during the Main Phase, target another card on the field in order to lose 2600 ATK exactly and destroy that card. I mean, unless you want to flex a starlight rare, just play DPE (which also has a starlight) or Borreload Furious Dragon. DPE doesn’t target and Furious Dragon has a useful GY effect unlike Gaia.
Grapha, Dragon Overlord of Dark World can Quick Effect change one of your opponent’s activated monster effects or Normal Spell/Trap Cards into “Your opponent discards 1 card” while you have a card(s) in your hand. Grapha is an interesting piece of interruption, but Prediction Princess doesn’t benefit from the discard like Dark World or even Tearlaments (playing King of the Swamp) can. It’s still useful, but you don’t get the full benefit of Grapha’s effect if you know what I’m saying.
Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart can, on Special Summon or if an Aqua monster is sent to your GY by card effect while it's on field, target a card your opponent controls and shuffle it into the Deck. It’s a really nice piece of interruption that’s held back by activating only on-Summon in this Deck. It’s still a great card, but Kaleido-Heart would be best in a Deck that can make full use of all its effects, like my second Tearlaments Prediction Princess list.
Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer can, Quick Effect destroy both 1 card you control and 1 card on the field. While you can’t activate its other effect to bring it back next Standby Phase, DPE is probably the best and most effective “destroy a card on field” Quick Effect you can get off of SoI unless you want to use Borreload Furious Dragon for its GY effect.
Mysterion the Dragon Crown can, if a monster uses its activated effect to Special Summon itself or a monster(s) with the same original Type, target 1 of the Special Summoned monsters and banish that monster and all monsters on field with the same original Type. I’m not too sure how effective Mysterion is while Deus-X is on field, but it’s still a good monster that’s killer against certain Decks.
Borreload Furious Dragon can Quick Effect target 1 monster you control and 1 card your opponent controls and destroy them. You can also banish it from GY and target a DARK Link Monster in your GY and Special Summon it, but it can’t activate its effects this turn. If you don’t need a non-targeting Quick Effect pop, you should definitely play Borreload Furious over DPE since it has a really useful GY effect. Usually, you are only bringing back either S:P Little Knight or I:P Masquerena, but both are still good options.
Millennium-Eyes Restrict can, when your opponent activates a monster effect, Quick Effect target an Effect Monster your opponent controls or in their GY and equip it to itself. Monsters with the same original name as the equipped monsters’ cannot attack and their activated effects and effects on field are negated. Millennium-Eyes, if anything, provides some good field or GY control with its effect, while also taking your opponent’s monster.
Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon can, on Special Summon, target a face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls and return it to hand. It’s a nice way of removing a monster from your opponent’s field, hindered by the fact that it is an on-Summon effect. However, certain Decks like the one below can also make use of its other effect which negates the activation of a Spell/Trap Card or monster effect and destroys that card by shuffling a face-up Pendulum Monster in your Extra Deck into the Deck.
Dual Avatar Fists - Armored Ah-Gyo can target and destroy an Attack Position monster your opponent controls on Special Summon, but it cannot attack directly for the rest of this turn. This effect is not worth doing the whole Summoner of Illusions thing for.
Witchcrafter Vice-Madame can, when a Spell Card or effect or a non-Fusion Spellcaster monster’s effect is activated, Quick Effect choose between destroying 1 card on the field, Special Summoning a Level 6 or lower Witchcrafter from hand or Deck, or adding a Witchcrafter Spell/Trap from GY to hand (each are once per turn). If Vice-Madame could Special Summon Witchcrafter Madame Verre or Witchcrafter Haine, we’d have more to talk about, but because it doesn’t, it’s just a reactive non-targeting pop. Not great.
Mamonaka the Vaylantz United can, during the Main Phase, Quick Effect target an Effect Monster in your opponent’s MMZ and place it in their Spell/Trap Zone in the same column as a Continuous Spell. If that zone is occupied, the card occupying that zone is destroyed and if that card was a monster, your opponent loses LP equal to its ATK. If ANYTHING, Mamonaka is just a cool form of removal. It can earn you some style points, but there ARE better options to choose from.
Earthbound Servant Geo Kraken can, if a monster(s) is Special Summoned from your opponent’s Extra Deck, destroy as many monsters your opponent controls that were Special Summoned this turn and inflict 800 damage to them for each. I like Geo Kraken. The art is cool, the effect is pretty good, and you can even make use of its on-Summon effect which adds a Field Spell from Deck or GY to hand which can come handy in a Deck like Runick Prediction Princess for follow-up.
Storagepod can, if a monster(s) is Special Summoned from hand while it's on field, target a card you control and a card your opponent controls and destroy them. The card itself is cool, but so is DPE, which does the same thing but better.
Blazing Bombardment Beast can destroy all monsters your opponent controls with 1900 or less ATK on Special Summon and if it is sent to GY, it can target a monster your opponent controls with 1900 or less ATK to destroy it and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK. Bombardment Beast is just really good. I consider playing this each time SoI is in the Deck, especially since it’s a viable send/Summon for both Ultimate Slayer and SoI.
Mementomictlan Tecuhtlica - Creation King can Quick Effect target an equal number of Memento monsters you control and cards your opponent controls (i.e. itself and 1 card your opponent controls) to destroy them. While I would say that DPE is just this card but non-targeting, I like Memento and this card is cool, so have at it.
Divine Scorpion Beast of Serket can, if it is Special Summoned or at the end of the Damage Step in which it battled a monster, target a face-up monster your opponent controls or in their GY and banish it with Serket gaining ATK equal half of the banished monster’s original ATK. Serket is cool, but its effect being on-Summon makes it a bit harder to work with, so it’d be best to consider other options.
Filia Regis can, during the Main Phase, Quick Effect target a card your opponent controls or in their GY and banish it. But if it banishes a card from the field, you must return a Dragon monster you control to hand. This is just a better version of Divine Scorpion Beast of Serket, and a pretty good card for field and GY coverage in general.
Hecahands Xeno can, during the Main Phase, Quick Effect look at 2 random face-down cards in your opponent’s Extra Deck and then you can Special Summon 1 of them to your field. Just like Despian Proskenion, you are at risk of not having space to Summon that monster to your field, so while it is a nice effect, you need to be mindful of your boardspace.
The Stigmata-Devouring Dragon can shuffle up to 2 cards from any GY and/or banishment into the Deck on Special Summon. While this is an on-Summon effect, this card does not target which may or may not come up in certain situations. And while it can avoid destruction during the End Phase due to being unaffected while an Ecclesia monster is on either field/GY, this card doesn’t do anything else while on field. As for the Dogmatika/Tri-Brigade search, it depends on if you are actually playing any of their cards.
PROTECTING THE PRINCESSES (& FLIPS) The only card that really provides protection in Prediction Princess is Prediction Princess Bibliomuse and also Enneacraft - Astay.PIXIEA soon. These monsters all have some kind of protection effect for more layers of protection for your board.
Clorless, Chaos King of Dark World can Quick Effect target a face-up card you control in order to discard a card and make it untargetable by your opponent’s card effects. I would say that PIXIEA makes this card irrelevant, but the card itself is just terrible in general, not to mention that it is a total waste to Summon this card off of SoI.
Hugin the Runick Wings can, if another card(s) you control would be destroyed by card effect, banish itself from your field instead. It’s a good card with a good effect that you already natively play in the best version of the Deck, Runick Prediction Princess. Need I say more?
Destiny HERO - Dusktopia an Quick Effect target a monster on field to make it indestructible by battle and card effects, but neither player takes any battle damage from attacks involving that monster. Both effects last until the end of the turn. Dusktopia is just as laughably bad as Clorless, and that’s pretty much all that needs to be said.
Cyberse Clock Dragon , while you control a Link Monster, prevents your opponent from targeting other monsters you control for attacks or with card effects. While PIXIEA is going to put this card to rest, Clock Dragon is still really not that bad of a protective card in a PIXIEA-less world, especially since you are always ending on a Link Monster.
Mudragon of the Swamp prevents your opponent from targeting it or monsters on the field with the same Attribute as it with card effects. Also, it can Quick Effect declare an Attribute in order to become the declared Attribute. While Mudragon cannot protect your entire field since Prediction Princess is not mono-Attributed, you can still declare EARTH to protect Deus-X and Bibliomuse which matter most.
The First Darklord prevents your Fairy monsters from being targeted by your opponent’s card effects and it can also, during the Main Phase, Quick Effect pay 1000 LP to Special Summon a Fairy from hand or GY in Defense Position. The targeting protection for Fairies means that your opponent cannot target your Bibliomuse which is good, but its other effect is a bit more vague in terms of its exact usage in a Prediction Princess Deck. However, it can still come up.
WE LOVE FLOODGATES (SAYS THE PREDICTION PRINCESS ENJOYER) It's no secret that Prediction Princess is effectively a floodgate Deck, I mean, its entire gameplan is to flip-up Deus-X Krawler. But here are some additional floodgates you can Summon off of SoI to make your opponent hate you more.
Invoked Caliga makes it so that each player can only attempt to activate 1 monster effect per turn and can only attack with 1 monster during each Battle Phase. Unless your opponent has negation or removal ready on hand, Caliga and Deus-X make for a deadly combination, Caliga giving your opponent 1 chance to resolve a monster effect and Deus-X stopping their activated effects on field.
Saint Azamina prevents your opponent from targeting cards in their field, GY, or banishment, or Saint Azamina with card effects. As good of a floodgate effect this is, it sadly pales in comparison to PIXIEA by a longshot. Not only is PIXIEA not a Fusion Monster that has to be grabbed off of SoI, it’s also a Flip Monster which the Deck can readily access. You will immediately understand the difference between the two as soon as you read PIXIEA.
