Alternate Decklist:
Fusion Effects
- Branded Fusion is your bread and butter
- Fallen of Albaz is your most important Fusion Material (Can be searched to hand by using [Deckmaster] Starliege Seyfert sending itself to GY as cost)
- Summoning Fallen of Albaz is an alternate route to Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon
- Branded in Red and Branded in White are your backup
The Branded deck's most powerful endboard piece is Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. This card offers a non-targetting banish effect (for monsters), a rare and flexible disruption/removal option. Additionally, Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon also sends a card from our Extra Deck to the GY which allows us to generate even more advantage in the End Phase.
The easiest way to obtain a Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon is through the effect of Branded Fusion. This card allows you to fuse without using any monsters from hand or field, allowing the creation of a Fusion monster from just one card. Your typical targets for Branded Fusion are Lubellion the Searing Dragon or Albion the Branded Dragon, both of which can immediatly activate their effects in order to fusion one more time and create a Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon.
This deck has various ways to search the powerful Branded Fusion including:
- Aluber the Jester of Despia (searchable with Branded Opening, Despian Tragedy)
- Springans Kitt (searchable with Branded in High Spirits, Tri-Brigade Mercourier)
- Keeper of Dragon Magic
- Summoner Monk
- Triple Tactics Thrust
Typically with Branded Fusion you will send The Bystial Lubellion alongside Fallen of Albaz to create Albion the Branded Dragon before then fusing Fallen of Albaz in GY with another DARK from hand/field to make Lubellion the Searing Dragon. You will then use Lubellion the Searing Dragon's on-summon effect to create Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon (with Lubellion the Searing Dragon + Fallen of Albaz in Banishment). This allows you to use The Bystial Lubellion in GY tributing Albion the Branded Dragon to summon itself and search the powerful Branded Lost (typcially used to search Tri-Brigade Mercourier for a negate). Additionally, in the End Phase you will be able to activate the GY effect of Albion the Branded Dragon to set a powerful Branded Spell/Trap.
Because the power of Branded Fusion is so notoriously impactful, it is likely that your opponents will focus on negating or otherwise stopping the effect of it. Fortunately, Branded Fusion is not our only path to Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon thanks to the powerful effect of Fallen of Albaz. Upon summon, we are able to Fusion Summon using Fallen of Albaz and one of our opponent's monsters! This means that if your opponent has any LIGHT/DARK, we would be able to make Lubellion the Searing Dragon or Albion the Branded Dragon to make Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon anyways. Or if they have any Syncro/XYZ/Link/Fusion monster, we can just directly make Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon with it and Fallen of Albaz!
Ways to summon Fallen of Albaz from Deck:
Suppose that Fallen of Albaz is also stopped. Now we move to backup plans! If you have Fallen of Albaz in GY or Field, all you need now is a Light or Dark monster to make Albion the Branded Dragon or Lubellion the Searing Dragon in order to get to Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon anyways. Therefore, you will want to recover the Albaz from GY/Banishment (if not on field/hand) and activate a Fusion effect to get going.
Recover Albaz Effects:
- Branded in Red
- Branded in White
- Guiding Quem, the Virtuous
- Branded Bond
- Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon
Fusion Effects:
- Branded in Red
- Branded in White
- Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous
- Super Polymerization
- Fusion Gate
- Fusion Substitute
- Fusion Recycling Plant
- Necro Fusion
- Branded Banishment
- Fusion Duplication
Note that Branded in Red and Branded in White are in both lists. These are immensly powerful cards that both Fusion Summon and provide material for the Fusion Summon, making resolving them very similar to resolving a Branded Fusion. Notably, Branded in Red can be searched and activated in the End Phase if you have Albion the Branded Dragon in the GY.
Also note you can revive Fallen of Albaz from GY through Guiding Quem, the Virtuous or Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon (GY effect). Special Summoning Fallen of Albaz from GY on an opponent's turn is especially impactful due to being able to fuse with an opponent's monster into Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. This is especially relevent when your endboard consists of nothing but Granguignol the Dusk Dragon, which can both send Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon from Extra Deck to GY and summon Guiding Quem, the Virtuous from Deck.
End Phase
- Main Phase 3, even on your opponent's turn!
- Trigger all the effects of the Albaz Fusions
- Engine Access (Albaz Fusion GY effects -> Guiding Quem, the Virtuous // Branded in Red)
- Resource Regeneration (Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous // Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous // Branded in High Spirits)
Throughout the turn, Branded will put Fusions into the GY through Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon, Granguignol the Dusk Dragon and through various effects like Branded in High Spirits, The Fallen & The Virtuous and Nadir Servant. These fusion's GY effects will trigger in the End Phase, giving us oppertunities to obtain Endboard Pieces and Polymerization effects.
Albaz Dragons and typical searched cards from their GY effect:
- Albion the Branded Dragon - Branded in Red , The Fallen & The Virtuous , Branded Banishment , Branded Retribution , Branded Fusion , Branded Opening
- The Dragon that Devours the Dogma - Tri-Brigade Mercourier , The Fallen & The Virtuous , Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous , Dogmatika Fleurdelis, the Knighted , Guiding Quem, the Virtuous
- Brigrand the Glory Dragon - Tri-Brigade Mercourier
- Titaniklad the Ash Dragon - Guiding Quem, the Virtuous , Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous
- Sprind the Irondash Dragon - Springans Kitt
- Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon - Fusion Deployment, Fusion Substitute, Branded Fusion
Diving into this deeper, you will find that Albion the Branded Dragon has the most searchable cards. During the end phase, you may choose endboard pieces in Branded Retribution // Branded Banishment // Branded Opening or a polymerization effect in Branded in Red. The Branded in Red can be used immediatly during that same End Phase. This is most effective when you are able to return Fallen of Albaz from GY and fuse into Lubellion the Searing Dragon with a Dark Monster.
Another way to obtain Branded in Red during the End Phase is through Springans Kitt summoned through the GY effect of Sprind the Irondash Dragon. You may also decide to use Springans Kitt recycle a Branded Spell/Trap from your GY/Banished to Deck before resolving the Albion the Branded Dragon to set a Branded card from Deck. This is useful if the Branded Spell/Trap you want to set with Albion the Branded Dragon is in Banished/GY and not in Deck.
Another way to use Albion the Branded Dragon is to add an intermeditery step before sending the actual Albaz Fusion you want in GY. You would do this by searching The Fallen & The Virtuous or Branded in High Spirits to hand and activating them in the same End Phase, using those cards to send another Albaz Fusion you want to trigger that End Phase. This is a useful trick if you need a way to trigger Guiding Quem, the Virtuous or eek out a bit more boardbreaking before finally passing the turn.
During the End Phase, various Main Deck cards will have have effects to set themselves from GY or return from GY to hand.
The cards that set themselves from GY if they were sent there to activate the effect of Fallen of Albaz are: Screams of the Branded , Judgment of the Branded , Branded Bond , Branded in White. These cards are most notable when sent to GY due to the GY effect of Albion the Shrouded Dragon who is treated as "Fallen of Albaz" while in the GY.
The cards that return from GY to hand are: Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous, Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous , and Branded in High Spirits. These cards increase the resource loop of the deck, allowing you fodder to discard for cards like Fallen of Albaz , Branded Opening , and Lubellion the Searing Dragon.
In the worst case scenerio: Try to activate as many effects as possible that send Fusions from Extra Deck to GY, whether that be through card effects or fusing/tributing your Fusion monsters on the field.
The Spellcasters
- Access Recycling
- Another way to make or revive Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon
- A single Granguignol the Dusk Dragon with nothing else is deceptively potent
The Spellcasters Guiding Quem, the Virtuous and Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous are fablous endboard pieces to use in the cases where we are unable to resolve our other effects. Both have effects that can be used in your opponents turn to access fusions. Let's discuss them one by one.
Guiding Quem, the Virtuous has an effect to send a card that mentions Fallen of Albaz to GY. These cards typically have GY effects.
Utility cards to send through Guiding Quem, the Virtuous:
Most Notable is Branded Retribution, with the GY effect to add a Branded Spell/Trap from GY to hand. If you are able to send/have powerful Branded Spells in GY like Branded in Red or Branded Fusion, you can use Branded Retribution to add it back to hand in order to activate or set them. A way to send Branded Spells to GY is Bystial Saronir
The more notable effect of Guiding Quem, the Virtuous is to revive a card that mentions Fallen of Albaz.
If you do not yet have Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon, you can use Guiding Quem, the Virtuous to revive Fallen of Albaz to attempt to fuse with your opponent's monsters or revive Springans Kitt // Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous in order to use a Fusion Effect.
If you do have a powerful Albaz Fusion in GY, you can simply revive that Fusion monster! Notably, Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon effect can be activated once-per-copy, so if you can use Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon effect twice a single turn if you use Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon , send it to GY (typically through fusing with it through Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous), and revive it again! You may also decide to destroy your own Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon through battle or The Fallen & The Virtuous knowing that you can revive it through Guiding Quem, the Virtuous, allowing you to use Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon twice a turn.
If you have an Albaz Fusion on field, you may choose to revive a Tri-Brigade Mercourier in order to access a negate.
However, to activate Guiding Quem, the Virtuous's powerful revival effect, you will need to see a card leave the Extra Deck. This can happen if any player summons from the Extra Deck, or if we use an effect that sends a card from our Extra Deck to GY (Branded in High Spirits, The Fallen & The Virtuous, Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon, Dogmatika Maximus and Nadir Servant)
You will typically summon Guiding Quem, the Virtuous through Titaniklad the Ash Dragon (GY effect), Granguignol the Dusk Dragon , or Branded Opening.
Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous has an effect in hand to summon itself if Fallen of Albaz is on field/GY. Ways to send Fallen of Albaz to GY are Albion the Shrouded Dragon and Branded Fusion.
Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous has the powerful effect to Fusion Summon as a Quick Effect. Due to being a Quick Effect that can be used on both our turn and our opponents, just a single negation will not stop Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous. If simply negated for the turn through Effect Veiler for instance, you can try again to fuse on your opponent's turn. Remember that the easiest ways to make Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon is if you are able to make Albion the Branded Dragon or Lubellion the Searing Dragon.
Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous also has its own signiture fusion monster called Granguignol the Dusk Dragon, which is easy to create due to only needing Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous and any Light/Dark monster. This is a deceptively good endboard due to being able to send a LIGHT/DARK monster from deck or Extra Deck to GY.
Granguignol the Dusk Dragon typical targets:
- Albaz Dragons (see above)
- Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon
- Albion the Shrouded Dragon
- Bystial Saronir
By sending an Albaz Dragon, we would be able to access Guiding Quem, the Virtuous (Titaniklad the Ash Dragon ) or powerful fusion effect like Branded in Red (Albion the Branded Dragon ) during the end phase. Granguignol the Dusk Dragon would also be able to banish itself to summon Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous or Guiding Quem, the Virtuous if your opponent summons a monster using a monster effect. This would add a Fusion Effect through Guiding Quem, the Virtuous sending/summoning Fallen of Albaz or add a negate through Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous searching Dogmatika Fleurdelis, the Knighted.
Another option would be to send Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon , and hope that an opponent triggers Granguignol the Dusk Dragon to summon Guiding Quem, the Virtuous. This would allow Guiding Quem, the Virtuous to send Fallen of Albaz to GY, enabling the GY effect of Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon to summon Fallen of Albaz.
Ways to search Guiding Quem, the Virtuous: Branded in High Spirits , Tri-Brigade Mercourier , Branded Lost , Branded Opening , Nadir Servant , Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous , Titaniklad the Ash Dragon
Ways to search Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous: Branded in High Spirits , Tri-Brigade Mercourier , Branded Lost, Fusion Deployment , Guiding Quem, the Virtuous
Notable Interactions:
- Guiding Quem, the Virtuous + Fallen of Albaz (GY)

Other Considerations from Structure Deck Albaz Strike:
- There Can Be Only One + Dimensional Barrier: May be difficult to play through as a new player.
- Pot of Extravagance: 10-card Extra Deck is too small to be worth the risk.
- Called by the Grave: A good card that is very disruptive against a variety of combos.
- Artifact Scythe + Waking the Dragon

Backup Plan: Granguignol the Dusk Dragon , Guiding Quem, the Virtuous , Nadir Servant
Searchable Utility: Chaos Dragon Levianeer , Bystial Druiswurm , Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon , Fallen of Albaz
Grindgame: Lubellion the Searing Dragon , Springans Kitt , Despian Tragedy , Branded Retribution , Branded Sword
Recap:
Important Cards: Branded Fusion , Fallen of Albaz , Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous , Guiding Quem, the Virtuous
Strategy Elevator Pitch: Resource loops disguised as combos.
This deck consistently reaches Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon through redundant Fusion lines rather than relying on a single card, using Fallen of Albaz, backup Fusion effects, and Quick-Effect Spellcasters to play through disruption. Its primary strength is the End Phase, where Albaz Fusion monsters in the GY translate into searches, sets, and recovery that sustain interaction every turn, prioritizing recursion, flexibility, and long-term advantage over explosive one-turn boards.
Recommened Upgrades: Fallen of the White Dragon , Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon , The Iris Swordsoul
Stop the Fusion? Fine. Try stopping the End Phase.
