When this deck gets going, man what a rush. It has a linear gameplan through its best cards that can answer almost any test that your opponent presents you with, while maintaing enough flexibility to adapt to gamestates that cause that gameplan to go off-course. With a good hand and hard work you'll find that you can steal wins from incredibly difficult situations, but the reality is that, since you are forced to play a lot of disconnected pieces, your hands will, more often than not, be pretty good to decent. Consistency and fragility hold this deck back from being a top contender, as is the case with most XYZ centric decks. The key weakness this deck shares with most XYZ decks is that it needs bodies on the board in order to play, so if you remove the bodies, you remove the options.
That being said this deck has a very deep toolbox. It shines brightest when you are put into situations that force you to get creative with your solutions to them. Its incredibly rewarding to manuever through several pieces of interaction and then kill your opponent with a wide board boosted by Spright Gamma Burst, or to scum a win with Number 2: Ninja Shadow Mosquito, or to simply play out your improvised position going first, managing to hold off your opponents starting 6.
I want to say this is a Tier 3 deck and am willing to be wrong about it. At worst it is a very dangerous rogue deck on its best days that can beat you even on your best days. It's a deck that will make you cherish and celebrate those good days, as they most certainly won't always be around.
Build-Specific Notes:
Wouldn't change anything with the main
I haven't tested Fiendsmith with this. I bet its good.
Triple Tactics is awesome since you can steal opponents monsters and make Sprind or even Gigantic if they have a Link-2 available.
Handtrap lineup feels good. 11 feels like just barely enough. Change at your own preference.
Extra Deck is flexible. I play I:P becuase it's a really good card for the times you don't have many other options. Mannequin Cat, Avramax, and Zeus have yet to come up in a meaningful way.
