Power: High Rogue (8.8/10) - TCG-legal and still one of the stronger Link Evolution identity decks. Altergeist keeps real rogue power through Multifaker, Protocol, Hexstia, Secret Village, Skill Drain and dense traps.
Consistency: Strong. Marionetter, Meluseek, Multifaker, Personal Spoofing, Extravagance, Duality, One for One, Terraforming and Metaverse give many ways to reach engine or floodgate pressure.
Ceiling: High for a trap deck. The best openings layer Multifaker plus Silquitous, Protocol protection, Hexstia negation, Secret Village spell denial, Skill Drain backed by Protocol, and Solemn traps. I:P, Unicorn, Selene, Avramax and Borrelsword close games.
Recovery: Excellent. Meluseek searches, Marionetter revives, Manifestation brings Altergeists back, Silquitous recycles cards, Spoofing reloads the hand, and Extravagance refuels.
Going first/second: Best going first. Set up Protocol, Spoofing, Manifestation, Impermanence, Strike, Judgment, Skill Drain or Village and grind through repeated interruptions. Going second, side into Dark Ruler, Evenly, Nibiru, Cosmic, Feather Duster and Pankratops.
Choke points: Stop Meluseek from reaching Multifaker, remove Spoofing before it converts traps into engine, force Multifaker before Protocol is active, clear Secret Village while Shuna controls no Spellcaster, or banish Manifestation targets.
Key cards: Multifaker, Marionetter, Meluseek, Silquitous, Hexstia, Protocol, Manifestation, Personal Spoofing, Secret Village, Skill Drain, Extravagance, Impermanence.
Key combos: Any trap activation can summon Multifaker, which summons Silquitous for bounce pressure. Marionetter sets Protocol or Manifestation, then revives Meluseek or Hexstia material later. Meluseek attacks directly, sends a card, then searches Multifaker. Protocol protects Altergeist effects under Skill Drain and can trade an Altergeist card for a monster negate. Hexstia points to an Altergeist for a Spell/Trap negate and searches when sent.
