I was able to earn my first Nats invite yesterday with this deck. I absolutely love this deck and it showcased well yesterday.
The only games I dropped was my 0-2 loss (and only match loss in swiss) to Yubel (the guy that eventually won the tournament). I was able to win every other match 2-0 to my own surprise, honestly.
Some changes I definitely plan to make in the main and extra are:
- 1 Pot of Prosperity
+1 Ash Blossom (I only had 2 🤷)
- 1 Cross Sheep
+ 1 Scareclaw Light-Heart (came up at least twice to need a 3rd)
The side is a throw together. I liked some of it but I'd reshape it all together.
I had someone ask at the tournament if Fiendsmith was really necessary in the deck and my answer is absolutely, yes. It helps play through droll and is what really allows the deck to be efficient going first in addition to it naturally being good going second. I definitely played it as a going first build aside from against Tempai.
