One way or another, "Sky Striker" will make a comeback this format. Regardless of the banning of Mystic Mine and the unphased limitations of the rest of the archetypes cards (Hornet Drones and Engage perspectively), "Sky Striker" is still a top notch challenger for rogue competitions for it's prestige in spell economics and deck resourcing. However the main issue is when your hand becomes your own demise, as it is sometimes known that the archetype jams itself or goes empty handed in the most crucial phases of duels. Hence why there has been a call for both Hornet Drones and Engage to either Semi or Unlimited in recent years in order to combat the ever eroding issues that have been occurring since the end of Master Rule 4. However I am not the one to decide Raye's entire fate alone (and neither is the intellectuals this community has that think they know everything about the game).
"Runick" on the other hand is a nice little addition of the game that plays for itself. Like in previous builds me and many others did, the cards utilize in making annoying effects and banishing top cards from your opponents deck in exchange for your battle phase. How this accommodates with the current state of the game is like taking out a tumor before it spreads, even if you didn't know you have it. As like "Sky Striker" the Mystic Mine ban did hit the deck, but "Runick" took a worst toll as it was their best flootgate option. Regardless, "Runick" builds like the standard and "Spright" variants remain playable to this very day.
So how does this add up on how "Runick - Sky Striker" came to be? If I have to be honest with you, this is a "Sky Striker" deck that Utilizes in the "Runick" engine. Allowing monsters like Kagari and Shizuku to manipulate your opponents monsters attack much more quickly with the "Runick" spells in your GY. Not to mention the "Sky Striker" quick-play spells being used with Runick Allure to milling additional cards each turn is also a plus. And if you want to get more ridiculous, you could slap in Photon Strike Bounzer to your side deck alongside your Bystial monsters for that monster negate and burn damage.
