Rescue-ACE is arguably the strongest deck build pack deck from the set "Amazing Defenders." So naturally, when they came to Masterduel, I immediately took interest in them as a competitive deck to climb ladder with! Although they are not full power yet, they are a force to be reckoned with on ladder with their immense resource advantage generation as well as ability to confidently play first or second!
The surprise debut and release of Promethean Princess in pack "Record of Noble Spirits" give Rescue-ACE an additional win condition - a recur-able boss monster that generates resources, provides interruption, and summons itself from the GY extremely easily!
If you want to reach high levels on Masterduel ladder with a reliable deck that can either 1st or 2nd and can cram a ton of staples while being consistently powerful, Rescue-ACE is a good deck to invest in!

ARCHETYPES AND DECKBUILDING
The deck is currently best played "pure." The standard RESCUE-ACE core is included, numbering 22 cards. 5 Rescue-ACE spells/traps are included as targets for Turbulence to set from deck. REINFORCE! isn't included since the card seems fairly inconsequential compared to the other quick-play spells and traps. One for One is included since it's an additional copy of Hydrant which can be summoned from deck.
A whopping 19 STAPLES is included in the deck. The usual "Maxx C" package is included so the pilot can win the Maxx C minigame. A package of "Triple Tactics Thrust" is included to help the duelist deal with threats like Purrely Noir (Herald of the Abyss) or to search a starter from deck (One for One).
The Extra Deck isn't used much except for Sunlight Wolf, Promethean Princess and Amblowhale. Other than that, there are a toolbox of Extra Deck answers to specific game states. Most of the time, the Extra Deck monsters are banish targets for Pot of Prosperity.
COMBOS AND GAMEPLAN
Rescue-ACE functions as a control-centred midrange deck. Usually, the deck summons Turbulence, sets 4 spells/traps from the deck (two interruptions and two follow-up cards). If there are additional extenders, boards also will end on Promethean Princess in the GY with Amblowhale for an additional two interruptions. The hand also may have Rescue-ACE warriors that function as handtraps to net further advantage from deck, hand or GY.
Currently, this deck only functions as a "one trick pony" - doing the same basic predictable strategy everygame as stated above. Here is the deck's main combo:
Rescue-ACE Hydrant + Rescue-ACE Extender = 4 set Rescue-ACE spells/traps (interruption and follow-up) + Promethean Princess in GY (monster destruction) + Amblowhale (link-monster summon and 1 card destruction)
- Normal summon Hydrant. Special summon Extender (Extenders could be Fire Engine, Fire Attacker, or a monster summoned via Rescue-AC warrior during your opponent's turn).
- Activate Hydrant's effect to search Turbulence from deck.
- Link away Hydrant + Extender for Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf.
- Summon Turbulence from hand by banishing 2 Rescue-ACE cards in the your GY to the zone Sunlight Wolf points to.
- Activate Sunlight Wolf's effect to recover a fire monster from the GY (you can recover Ash Blossom for example!)
- Activate Turbulence's effect to set 4 Rescue-ACE spells/traps from deck. Typically, you'd set ALERT! (search), RESCUE! (monster reborn), EXTINGUISH! (destroy monster) and CONTAIN! (monster negate).
- Link away Sunlight Wolf + Turbulence to summon Promethean Princess.
- Promethean Princess summons any Fire monster from GY. If applicable, summon Hydrant, then you can get an additional search with ALERT!
- Link away Promethean Princess + Fire monster for Amblowhale.
- During your opponent's turn, summon a Rescue-ACE monster from your GY to turn on your Rescue-ACE traps.
It may not seem like much, but this much interruption coupled with the resource advantage that Rescue-ACE inherently generates is usually enough to win games! Often times after you interrupt an opponent enough they stop on a weak board, leaving you to OTK the next turn!
Going second, the sheer amount of staples that this deck pilots try to slow/stop your opponent completely. Boards are also broken by the Triple Tactics Thrust package. Also, the Rescue-ACE warrior monsters summon from deck, hand and GY whenever your opponent activates a monster effect on the field.
GENERAL TIPS
- This deck doesn't have EMERGENCY! yet, thus decreasing this strategy's consistency. Piri Reis map is an option to search for Hydrant, which gets plays started.
- Promethean Fire Princess may lock you into fire, but that's only when it's on the field! When you link her away for Amblowhale or another fire card, that's when you're free summon other monster attributes.
- Hydrant can be linked away into Relinquished Anima! Opponents surprisingly leave many monsters vulnerable in the zones in front of the Extra Monster Zones, so when you have used Hydrant's effect to search, you may as well use it as a boardbreaker!
- In a pinch, Bagooska can be made easily in this deck by summoning two of your level 4 warrior monsters!

CONCLUDING REMARKS
If you think Rescue-ACE is strong right now, just wait until EMERGENCY! and Preventer are out in Masterduel! These two elevate the strategy to the next level of competitive power! Until then, Rescue-ACE is still a midrange powerhouse for its resource generation and simple but powerful gameplan. With Rescue-ACE, you're sure to "rescue" your ailing Masterduel ladder record! (sorry for the bad pun lol)
