This is my personal Red Dragon Archfiend deck for Locals, but updated for the TCG 2024 metagame!
With Maze of Millennia, Red Dragon Archfiend obtains three additional 1 card starters to initiate full combo which is Earthbound Prisoner Stone Sweeper (total of 15 1-card starters)! The card can be discarded to search for any level 3 or lower fiend tuner. Of course in the Red Dragon Archfiend strategy, that would obtain us Soul Resonator or any other missing combo piece.
With this added bit of consistency with an incredible 15 one-card starters (thanks fo the x3 Stone Sweeper from MZMI), additional staples can be added into the deck. The staples in this iteration of the deck is built around Crossout Designator and its targets since this strategy is vulnerable to handtraps. This grants us a grand total of 11 handtraps and 4 anti-handtrap cards (Called By + 3 Crossouts).
The Side Deck is specialized to counter the 2024 January meta, especially with the Soul Releases. When siding out, simply switch in the most relevant staples with other staples already in the deck (for ex,. swap out your Crossouts for Droplets when forced to go second).
Best thing of all, this deck doesn't require the RIDICULOUSLY expensive cards that dominate the meta this format while being competitive! No need to bust your wallet for Bonfire, WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils and S:P Little Knight!
