Jack Atlas' Red Dragon Archfiend has received it's most powerful wave of support yet with the release of Blazing Dominion, and it's ready to burn a path of destruction through the GENESYS format!
The June 2026 GENESYS points lists was fairly lenient on the strategy - giving a slight added cost to Power Vice Dragon (5 -> 6) and pointing Crimson Blade Dragon (0 -> 10). Excluding Crimson Blade Dragon, this means that Red Dragon Archfiend's in-archetype cards cost 58 points, which leaves 42 points for whatever you want! I chose to spend the majority of the points on x2 Droll & Lockbird since it stops most common decks in their tracks. The last two points is rounded out by x2 D.D. Crow.
Going first, Red Dragon Archfiend boards are nigh-unbreakable in GENESYS format. It features interruptions like Dis Pater's negate/destroy, Hot Red Abyss' targeted negate, Red Zone's targeted destruction, Red Reign's banish boardwipe and King Resonance's fieldwide "Book of Eclipse." Popular breakers like Darkhole, Lightning Vortex and Harpie's Feather Duster are rendered useless by Soul Resonator's GY protection effect. Even if your opponent manages to destroy any monster, Crimson Gaia summons Red Dragon Archfiend from the GY!
Going second while piloting Red Dragon Archfiend, I noticed that the monstrous combo potential of this strategy straight up plows through opponent's established boards with ease! Not only does this strategy have a ton of starters (about 15 one-card starters), those same cards can double as extenders! This grants RDA the unique ability to not only play first, it can comfortably play going-second as well!
If you get Fuwalos'd you can only give your opponent 1 draw while searching for your archetypal traps of King's Resonance/Red Zone while searching for multiple copies of Skull Meister. Even if you're Nibiru'd, you can usually combo past the boardwipe with the immense amount of gas in your possession!
This combo juggernaut is surely worthy of a Crimson King. Piloting Red Dragon Archfiend, you're not merely a duelist anymore, you're a King! Are you ready to obliterate your opponents as the Master of Faster with your ABSOLUTE POWERFORCE?
