I've always been impressed how Rafael beat Yugi in the anime with such a difficult deck. The guardians are very difficult to summon because of their equip cards. Of course in the anime, Rafael uses the anime-only card Backup Gardna to transfer equip cards. I tried to make the deck somewhat competitive in video games like Legacy of the Duelist, so this is what I got. It's not designed to win you any tournaments, but to have some fun playing like Rafael.
Yes, I know Pot of Greed is on the banlist, but this deck is so problematic, it's not going to help you win much. The ideal first play in this deck is activating Seal of Orichalcos and then special summoning Eatos with no monsters in the graveyard. If you special summon Eatos and then activate the Seal, Eatos will be destroyed. Swords is a great stall card while you use cards like Arsenal Summoner to search your deck. Pot of Avarice is there to keep the graveyard clear for Eatos. It's also great to use Shrink after an opponent's monster declares an attack to destroy it.
I really tried to include Elma in this deck, but it makes it very problematic. Even if you were somehow able to summon her with her Equip card attached and the Seal activated, you would have a monster with 2100 attack. That's what Arsenal Summoner gives you, and Knight Day Grepher with 100 more attack, both having better abilities of adding a card you want to your hand.
