You! Yes you, dear reader, do you happen to like small cute creatures? then I may have the perfect archetype for you!
Purrely is an Archetype cromprised entirely of Fairy Type monsters with variating Attributes for their Extra Deck monsters, the E- and Ex- Purrely line, their main gameplay plan is to get their Level 1s on board and use their Quick-play Spells to evolve and empower their monsters.
Main Deck:
Part 1: Monsters
Chapter 1: The Felines ( Purrely and Purrely Lily )
- Purrely - Outclassed by Lily and the reason you see it run at 2 sometimes, like Lily it can be your Normal Summon or Special Summoned with your Quick-Plays, on Summon it Excavates the top 3 cards of your Deck and adds a "Purrely" S/T, which you run 10+ of, so its kinda hard to not get anything. Its last effect is to reveal a "Purrely" Quick-Play and summon its respective EPurrely, which sometimes is better than Lily's in case you normal summon him in your first turn, and attach the revealed card to it.
- Quick mention about the XYZ Monsters and their respective Quick-Plays - Purrely Happy Memory Summons Epurrely Happiness , Purrely Pretty Memory Summons Epurrely Beauty and Purrely Delicious Memory Summons Epurrely Plump .
- Purrely Lily - The only other Monster you run, your searcher, that upon its summon fetches any Non Quick-Play "Purrely" card from your Deck, good targets would be Stray Purrely Street , My Friend Purrely , Purrelyeap!? or if you summon Lily via your Spells you can even fetch Purrely . Now why is this card so good? If you have any of the archetypal Spells in grave Lily can target it and summon the XYZ that mentions that Spell and attach it to the XYZ. So it searches and summons using your dead cards, making it very powerful during grindy games.
Chapter 2: Can your deck play through these?: (Handtraps)
Due to the Quick-Plays Summoning from your Deck your Level 1s you can fit so many Handtraps in this Deck which can also be discarded for the Quick-Plays.
Part 2: Spells and Traps
Chapter 1: Memories... (Quick-Plays)
All "Purrely" Quick-Plays have different effects when activated and attached to a "Purrely" XYZ Monster, and as mentioned before all "Purrely" Quick-Plays can Summon the level 1s from your Deck by discarding 1 card.
Their individual effects are:
- Purrely Sleepy Memory - Next Battle or Effect Damage you take this turn becomes 0. And when attached letting you Draw 1 card during your Opponent's Standby Phase.
- Purrely Pretty Memory - Each Player gains 1000LP. And when attached letting you send 1 card you control to the GY to attach one card your Opponent's control to the XYZ Monster that has this card as material.
- Purrely Delicious Memory - Makes 1 Monster on the field unable to be destroyed by Battle until the end of the next turn. And when attached making the XYZ Monster that has this card as material gain 300 ATK/DEF for each material attached to it.
- Purrely Happy Memory - Protects 1 card on the field from being destroyed by effects once. And when attached gives the XYZ monster that has this card as material gain an extra attack up to the number of Purrely Happy Memory attached to it.
It should be noted that all these effects can stack, so yes you can Draw 3 in your Opponent's turn, meaning you may gain extra Handtraps during the Standby Phase.
Chapter 2: Places... (Field, Continuous, Trap)
- Stray Purrely Street - Prevents Purrely's that were special summoned that turn from being targeted, which helps against Effect Veiler , Infinite Impermanence and more. If a Purrely XYZ leaves the field you can summon the Level 1s from your Deck or GY which can be useful with Purrelyeap!? and helps you recover if your Opponent manages to destroy your critter. And during the End Phase you can attach a "Purrely" Quick-Play from Deck or GY, helping you get stuff like Purrely Sleepy Memory for extra draws.
- My Friend Purrely - This is basically Pantheism of the Monarchs , reveal 3 "Purrely" cards and your Opponent picks one randomly to add to your Hand, meaning you can add any card you want as long as you have three of them in your Deck. And like Street when a XYZ leaves the field you can target 3 "Purrely" Quick-Plays from your GY to your hand, basically resetting your turn.
- Purrelyeap!? - This Trap turns your R7NK into a R2NK and vice-versa, and Triggers My Friend and Street during the End Phase. Its GY effect shuffles back into the Deck your dead Purrelys and draws you 1 card, helping during the grind when you run out of Gremlins in your Deck.
The only other cards notable to mention are:
Part 3:
Chapter 1: Growth (E- and EX-)
So let's take a look at their XYZ monsters starting with the Rank 2s and then Rank 7s.
But first it should be noted that the Rank2s can thrice per turn attach "Purrely" Quick-Plays when they are activated to gain extra effects and stack the materials. If the EPurrely has the corresponding Spell attached to it their Effects become Quick-Effects, with the exception of Epurrely Happiness , those being:
- Epurrely Beauty :Once per turn: You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; its effects are negated until the end of the turn. When you attach a Quick-Play you can change the battle position of a Monster your Opponent controls.
- Epurrely Happiness : If this card battles, at the end of the Damage Step: You can add 1 "Purrely" card from your Deck to your hand, also, if this card has "Purrely Happy Memory" as material, you can make the ATK of 1 face-up monster on the field become halved. When you attach a Quick-Play you can Return a Spell/Trap your opponent controls back to their hand.
- Epurrely Plump : Once per turn: You can target up to 2 Spells/Traps in the GYs; attach them to this card as material. When you attach a Quick-Play you can Banish 1 Monster your Opponent controls.
Out of the three R2NK plump is the better one for staking since it allows for you to attach up to 6 materials (Purrely or Lily, Delicious Memory, 2S/T in your and at the start of your opponent's turn to then activate Purrelyeap!? to go into Expurrely Noir .
As for the R7NK, they can be XYZ summoned by using a EPurrely with 5 or more Materials and they also receive extra effect as long as they have a LV1 Purrely as material.
- Expurrely Noir - Noir is your "little towers" as long as you have 5 materials, its effect allows you to non-opt dettach 2 materials to place a card your opponent controls or is in their GY on the bottom of their deck, and this becomes a Quick-Play when you have a LV1 as material. This card is just insane! Shuffling is a strong method of removal since very little cards can do anything about it, and its not even OPT, so you can just remove every option from your opponent while you have this guy out. This is the one you want to summon most of the time going first or second to clean entire boards allowing for your other EXPurrely to destroy your Opponent.
- Expurrely Happiness - This pupper can dettach one material to mass negate your Opponent's Monsters, your Opponent can't respond to this as long as it has 5+ materials, and if this card has a LV1 Purrely attached it burns your opponent for 1500 damage when it attacks, which may I remind you Purrely Happy Memory lets this card attack up to 3 times, meaning you can do 4500 burn damage in a single BP without counting the battle damage. When this thing comes out its because you are sure you are about to win the game after sweeping away your Opponent's board with Noir.
Chapter 2: Extra Deck Options
Example of a Combo: Normal Summon Lily, Lily adds Leap, activate Delicious memories and discard any of your cards to summon Purrely, Purrely adds a spell and you reveal it to summon the XYZ, Lily targets Delicious memories summoning Plump, Plump targets 2 Spells in your GY and set Leap. Next turn Plump attaches 2 more S/T to it and you will have a big Noir summoned with Leap
Final Thoughts: The deck is pretty good, you have 20+ ways to get to your starter, can play a lot of things with it and it has a clear goal in mind, together with cute asthetics and a simple lore attached to it only rivaled by Worm Xex and Worm Yagan love story.
