Pure Traptrix list 2023 Post SD

This is also the list seen in the r/yugioh Traptrix Discord with over 1K users with the goal being to provide a sample list for those who are interested in deckbuilding. If you didn't come here from the Traptrix server, there is also more info on what the generally agreed Traptrix deck skeleton looks like in #pit-dwellers-starting-guide along with other details but it isn't a necessity or anything.

This list for the TCG showcases the standard-ish Traptrix ratios (First 23 cards) and decent generic cards on a low-mid budget.

Notes:

The only glaring thing that pops out in the main deck is the inclusion of only 2 copies of Overroot With it being a HOPT, you don't want to open multiples. Yes, you do want Vesiculo as a one of in Pure. Completely earns the spot. The "Tech Hole" Bottomless Trap Hole, could essentally be any other Hole to cover match ups where Floodgate is meh. (Terrifying, Nightmare, Treacherous, Void, Break-off another copy of Floodgate, ect.)

It's been proven that Evenly can be mained. But you can put in the side if it's a format where it isn't too great. The side deck is pretty standard to cover a variety a match ups. Nibru or Droll are likely the most specialized ones that can be switched to something else. Dimension Shifter can work well in some formats. Doesn't have too much anti synergy ith the deck. Durendal with Droll is so sacky if Droll is relevant.

Budget alternatives

Swap out Pot of Prosperity for 3x Shade. Not a replace functionally but you tend to want to grab an extender for the most part. (Consider Link spider perhaps if you do? Makes Shade function with Exceed if needed.)

Most of the generic ED cards don't have 1-1 replacements but more of alternatives that are managable.

Zeus > Exciton Knight. 

Underworld Goddess > Borrelsword (For taking care of big boss monsters.)

The Ptolemaeus package doesn't have alternatives. You can fill in with space with other generics or tech options. ex: Abyss Dweller. Tornado Dragon. I:P for a generic link 2 to run and Underworld Goddess synergy. A Third Sera. A second Pinguicula. Maybe Beetrooper Armor Horn for easier kill setups into Atypus?

Ptolemaeus Package explained

Traptrix hates Evenly so having two ways to avoid it seems great but the other application is for going against Triple Tactics Thrust. It's standard to make Ptolemaeus with 2 materials so that Durendal has 1 Xyz Material for a disruption. It's pretty adaptable. Diamond is a welcome addition as well. you can fit another Stellarknight Xyz if you really wanted to for Diamond. Pairs well with Droll as mentioned before. 

What do I banish off of Prosperity?

Think of keeping the essentials. Keep the first 5 ED monsters I have in the list. (Maybe switch Redoer for Rafflesia or vice versa to banish.) Then keep whatever you think would come up during the match. (ex: Banish Cularia or Bagooska if you aen't expecting a grind game. Ptolemaus package seems iffy because you drew Judgement. ect.)
