This is a Pure Mikanko Deck. This deck is not meant to be competitive or meta, but it can be used in a somewhat competent and playable way. The deck is also fairly easy to use.
The Main Deck contains all of the Mikanko cards, as well as big board breakers like Thunder King, the Lightningstrike Kaiju, and Lava Golem, and the other generic board breakers like Raigeki and Lightning Storm.
The Side Deck contains some other generic board breakers and going-second cards, as well as some other utility cards you can add to the deck, and it has access to some engines like Sky Strikers.
The Extra Deck contains the one and only Mikanko Extra Deck monster, that being Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko, and the rest is a bunch of generic Extra Deck cards you can use for utility. You can also add engines like Super Polymerization, Ultimate Slayer, and The Fallen & The Virtuous to make use of the Extra Deck if you please.
Deck Explanation
The main goal of this deck is to go second, use your board breakers such as your Kaijus like Thunder King, the Lightningstrike Kaiju, and Lava Golem, and use the Mikanko monsters' special gimmick. You can accomplish this by using the Mikanko equip spells and equipping your Mikanko monsters with them so that their special gimmick activates. Now, if you attack, instead of you taking the damage, your opponent takes the damage instead!
Simply put, this is the "Why are you hitting yourself" deck >:D
In the Main Deck, your starters are Mikanko Shinbu - Noble Twins, Ohime the Manifested Mikanko, and Mikanko Water Arabesque. You only really need 4 or 5 cards for this deck, as most of this deck is filled with a bunch of utility cards you can use in the duel.
Mikanko Shinbu - Noble Twins is your main starter, as it allows you to go +1 by sending Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee to the Graveyard with its effect and setting Mikanko Fire Dance.
Ohime the Manifested Mikanko, despite being a Ritual Monster and being able to be Ritual Summoned in this deck, is actually usually used as a searcher and starter for the deck.
Mikanko Water Arabesque can attach itself to a monster your opponent controls, and you can use it as a starter for the deck to Special Summon any one Mikanko monster from the Deck.
Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko is your "boss monster" for the deck and the only Mikanko Extra Deck monster (as of writing this, August 2026). When she is Special Summoned, she can add any 1 Equip Spell from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. She also has the special gimmick that Mikanko monsters aren't destroyed by battle, and any battle damage you would have taken, your opponent takes instead. Additionally, she also has the added effect that after every attack and battle, at the end of the Damage Step, to detach 1 material from herself from herself, and attack again in a row. And since we XYZ summon with 2 materials, she can usually attack up to 3 times.
Combo
A sample combo for this deck is as follows (Mikanko Shinbu - Noble Twins in hand):
Start by going SECOND and start breaking your opponent's board by using your Kaijus like Thunder King, the Lightningstrike Kaiju, and Lava Golem.
Activate Mikanko Shinbu - Noble Twins. Send Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee to the Graveyard and set Mikanko Fire Dance. Activate Mikanko Fire Dance, Special Summon Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee, and equip Fire Dance to her. (Optional) Additionally, you CAN also Special Summon a monster from your OPPONENT'S Graveyard and Special Summon it to THEIR field, preferably one with high ATK; also, that monster is negated. Activate Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee because she was equipped by an Equip Spell; Special Summon Ha-Re the Sword Mikanko from Deck. Activate Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee, bounce Mikanko Fire Dance to hand. Xyz Summon into Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko. Activate Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko on summon to add Double-Edged Sword to hand.
From here, if your opponent has a monster you either Special Summoned with Mikanko Fire Dance, a monster they may still have on the field in general, OR a monster you oh so generously gave them like Lava Golem, you should equip Double-Edged Sword to THEIR monster.
IF they do NOT have a monster, you should instead equip Double-Edged Sword to your OWN monster, aka, Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko. Then you can attack up to 3 times with Uzuhime for up to 12,000 damage. But the better play is usually to equip the Double-Edged Sword to your opponent's monster, so we will pretend we used Lava Golem and do just that.
Go to Battle Phase.
Attack with Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko into the Lava Golem equipped with Double-Edged Sword. You can attack up to 3 TIMES! Each attack also does about 10,000 damage each. PaSs?
This endboard contains, well, about 12 - 30,000 damage and your dead opponent (hopefully)! IF they did not get blown up by this attack, well...
During your Main Phase 2, you can try to sit on your Mikanko Monsters; maybe search one of the Mikanko traps and hope your opponent attacks into your Mikanko monsters, or use the traps to sort of force them into doing so. Or you can go into your Extra Deck and use your toolbox there. Since you attacked, you can go into Downerd Magician and then into Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder; you can Link into I:P Masquerena, then into S:P Little Knight during your opponent's turn; or you can go into one of your other Xyz Monsters, like Totem Bird or something. Who knows!
Overall, a pretty fun deck! It can be satisfying seeing your opponent just blow themselves up with your monsters! :D I hope you enjoy!
