This is a Pure Kewl Tune Deck. This deck is not meant to be competitive or "meta" (but, at the time of writing this, August 2026, this deck is VERY meta right now), but can still be used in a somewhat competent and playable way.
As stated, this Deck is VERY meta-relevant right now (August 2026), and actually, they mostly use their "in archetype" cards, with the rest of the deck being a bunch of non-engine and hand-traps! So, to satisfy a more "casual" feel, I added more copies of certain Kewl Tune cards as well as tried to exclude many of the hand-traps this deck normally runs with some more casual and wacky cards.
If you want to run this deck as normal, 3 copies of Kewl Tune Cue, Kewl Tune Reco, and Kewl Tune Rotary are usually played with 2 copies of Kewl Tune Mix, 1 (or 2) copies of Kewl Tune Clip, and 3 copies of Kewl Tune Synchro, 1 copy of JJ "Kewl Tune", and 0 (or 1) copy of Kewl Tune Playlist, usually in the Side Deck. The rest of the deck is filled with hand-traps, as this deck mainly uses Tuners, and wouldn't you know it, many of the meta-relevant hand-traps such as the "ghost sisters" like Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion; and Effect Veiler, for example, are Tuners.
One hand-trap I HIGHLY recommend you do add, but I excluded and put in the Side Deck instead simply because, as of right now (August 2026), it is pretty expensive, is Fydraulis Harmonia, as it can be used as interruption AND can be used to Synchro Summon into some of the Kewl Tune cards as well.
The Main Deck contains all the Kewl Tune cards. It also contains, as stated before, a bunch of "casual" generic cards, including Tuners that may or may not work well with this deck or have little synergy, and other generic Synchro support cards.
The Extra Deck contains all the Kewl Tune Synchro Monsters as well as other generic staple Synchro monsters you can go into. It also contains cards you can discard with Fydraulis Harmonia to gain an additional effect with their, Fydraulis', effect.
The Side Deck contains other cards you can consider adding into the Main Deck or Extra Deck. As well as some other "casual cards" that can be added.
The deck is a Tuner and Synchro-based deck that utilizes many of the effects the Main Kewl Tune Monsters gain when they are used as Synchro material for a Synchro Summon. The Main Deck Monsters all also share the effect where, if the card on the field would be used as Synchro material, you can also use a Tuner IN YOUR HAND as the other material. This makes using hand-traps even more powerful in this deck.
The deck can also Synchro Summon during your OPPONENT's turn so you can utilize these effects to their fullest potential, and there are a LOT of effects within Kewl Tune that allow this. So they don't necessarily set up big boards, but boards that can play during your opponent's turn to interact with for interruption. So knowing how to use these interruptions and knowing interactions will be the most vital thing in learning this deck.
The Extra Deck Kewl Tune Monsters all have very powerful on-field effects themselves that can interrupt your opponent during play, and some can even interrupt other Synchro- or Xyz-based decks with some of their passive effects.
This section explains each of the main Kewl Tune cards. You can skip this if need be.
The main cards for the deck are:
Kewl Tune Reco, which is one of your Main Starters in the deck. When she is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material, she can target 1 Spell or Trap your opponent controls and destroy it.
Kewl Tune Cue, which is also one of your Main Starters in the deck. When she is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material, you can excavate the top 2 cards of your OPPONENT'S deck, banish one of them, and the other card you can choose to either place on top OR the bottom of the deck—a very heavy disruptive effect.
Kewl Tune Rotary is another starter in this deck. She has a unique effect to reveal herself and 1 other Tuner from the hand, and then Normal Summon a Tuner in your hand. (Yes, this can include herself) And if she is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material, you can choose either 1 of 2 effects: LOOK at your OPPONENT'S HAND, then add 1 Kewl Tune Spell or Trap from the Deck to your hand, or place 1 card from your opponent's Graveyard to the bottom of their Deck.
Kewl Tune Mix is an extender for the deck, and when she is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material, she can target 1 monster your opponent controls and destroy it.
Kewl Tune Clip allows you to Synchro Summon during your opponent's Main Phase. And when she is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro material, you can banish 1 random face-down Extra Deck card face-up. (So, regularly banish a random card in the Extra Deck since the wording is a little weird. I think it's just like that because Pendulums exist so...)
Kewl Tune Synchro is also a Main Starter and searcher, and immediately after that effect resolves, you can choose to Synchro Summon 1 Tuner Synchro Monster. You can also choose to set it and play it during your opponent's turn to Synchro Summon since it is a Quick-Play Spell. Oh, and you can activate up to 2 of Kewl Tune Synchro a turn. Idk why that's a thing and why it's not just once per turn like any other card, but sure.
JJ "Kewl Tune" is a Field Spell that can allow you to Normal Summon another Tuner in addition to your regular Normal Summon during your turn. You can also activate its "ignition" effect to Tribute 1 Tuner; then you can add to your hand or Special Summon a Kewl Tune monster from the deck.
Small tangent
Now, Cue has a pretty powerful effect. She can manipulate what your opponent may draw, in which you can force your opponent to draw a "brick", send a very good card they may have otherwise drawn to the bottom of the deck, and even potentially banish one of their key combo pieces or main cards in their deck. It's a VERY good effect.
Now, the reason I mainly highlighted Rotary's effect is because, as the great Cimoooooooo (Rest in peace a LEGEND) has said before, "in Yu-Gi-Oh, YOU DO NOT MESS WITH THE OPPONENT'S HAND". Even if you aren't moving a card from their hand, like, say, Confiscation would do, hand knowledge is an EXTREMELY powerful effect in Yu-Gi-Oh ESPECIALLY in the modern-day, competitive format. You get to know what deck your opponent is playing, what hand-traps they might have, and you can play around them, and finally what board to set up for their incoming turn.
Now, as for the Extra Deck cards:
Kewl Tune Track Maker is a key combo piece and searcher for the deck. It also shares the same effect as the Main Deck Kewl Tune Monsters, where if the card on the field would be used as Synchro material, you can also use a Tuner in your hand as the other material. And it even has its own effect when it is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material to "bounce" a card your opponent controls to their hand.
Kewl Tune Remix is another card that allows you to Synchro Summon during your opponent's turn, as it can tribute itself during your opponent's turn, choose 2 non-Synchro Tuners in the Graveyard, add 1 to hand, Special Summon the other, and then after that effect resolves, you can Synchro Summon a Tuner Synchro Monster. It also has a passive effect on the field where it gains 1,500 ATK if your opponent has a Tuner on their field or Graveyard, which, most of the time, if your opponent is playing hand-traps, can happen; but the effect is just an added bonus that can turn this card into a "beat stick".
Kewl Tune RS is a very powerful "Boss Monster" for the deck as it gains 300 ATK for each Tuner in either player's Graveyard, which can add up quick. Not only that, but it has an on-field Omni-Negate during the Main Phase where you can banish 1 Tuner in your Graveyard, then target 1 face-up card your opponent controls and negate its effects until the end of the turn. But again, I will clarify it has to be on the field AND during the Main Phase, so you can't negate Graveyard effects with this, BUT you can respond to, say, a Normal Spell's activation as it is on the field and this negate is a quick effect. Additionally, it has a passive effect that makes your opponent's monsters they control with 1,700 or less original ATK have their Levels increased by 1, which can disrupt Synchro or Xyz plays.
Kewl Tune Loudness War has protection for all your Tuner monsters you control, as it can protect all other Tuners you control from being destroyed by card effects or being targeted with card effects by your opponent. It also has a "trigger" effect to Banish 1 Kewl Tune monster from your Graveyard, and then apply that Kewl Tune monster's effect when it is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro material. It also has a bonus effect when paired with JJ "Kewl Tune" where JJ can provide each Loudness War an ATK boost of 3,300 ATK if your opponent has a Tuner on their field or in their Graveyard, which, again, if your opponent is playing hand-traps, which is pretty common, can happen!
Kewl Tune Crackle, when it is Special Summoned, can LOOK at your opponent's Extra Deck, and banish 1 card from it until the End Phase, then it gains ATK equal to that banished monster's ATK. And then when this SYNCHRO SUMMONED card is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon it, and then you can do the same effect, but instead of gaining the additional effect of gaining ATK, you substitute it out for banishing 2 Extra Deck cards instead until the End Phase. So hypothetically, you can banish 3 of your opponent's Extra Deck cards until the end of the turn.
Lastly, Kewl Tune B2B is your big "Boss Monster" of the deck. It has two passive effects. The first and main one makes all the monsters your opponent controls' Levels increase by 2, which can also disrupt Synchro or Xyz plays. The second effect allows all your Tuners to make a second attack during each Battle Phase. It also has a "trigger" effect that can target 1 Tuner in your Graveyard or banishment (except a Level 10 for some reason) and either add it to your hand or Special Summon it; then, after this effect resolves, you can Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster. This effect can be activated TWICE a turn.
A sample combo for this deck is as follows (Kewl Tune Cue in hand):
Normal Summon Kewl Tune Cue. Activate her effect on Normal Summon to Special Summon Kewl Tune Reco. Kewl Tune Reco effect on summon to add Kewl Tune Rotary to hand. Synchro into Kewl Tune Track Maker using Kewl Tune Cue and Kewl Tune Rotary. Chain Link 1 Kewl Tune Rotary, Chain Link 2 Kewl Tune Track Maker, Chain Link 3 Kewl Tune Cue. Cue can manipulate your opponent's top deck; Maker adds JJ "Kewl Tune" from Deck to hand; and Rotary looks at your opponent's hand and adds Kewl Tune Synchro from your Deck to your hand. Activate JJ "Kewl Tune", tribute Kewl Tune Reco, and Special Summon Kewl Tune Mix from Deck. Kewl Tune Mix on summon to add Kewl Tune Cue from grave to hand.*
*The most optimal play from here (and since he is in this deck list) is to Synchro Summon into Zalen the Shackled Dragon using Cue and Track Maker. Now I know this isn't very PURE-like, so as such, you COULD instead Synchro Summon into another Kewl Tune Extra Deck Monster and instead of adding Cue, add back Reco, and Synchro Summon into Kewl Tune RS using both Reco and Mix on the field, but we want to use Mix to Synchro into Kewl Tune Remix as well, and doing this stops that play and ends our turn there.
You could also use Kewl Tune Synchro here, add to your hand Reco or another Cue, and using Mix's effect from earlier, add Rotary or the other Reco already in your Graveyard; THEN you could maybe Synchro into Kewl Tune Loudness War maybe since I think that would be the only available target except for Kewl Tune Track Maker, which wouldn't do much except maybe let you go into Visas Amritara or another Level 8 Synchro. FOR NOW, add Cue to hand, Synchro into Zalen.
Synchro Summon using Kewl Tune Track Maker and Kewl Tune Cue into Zalen the Shackled Dragon. Activate Kewl Tune Synchro, add either Kewl Tune Reco or another Kewl Tune Cue as they are Level 3. (or, if you already have one in hand, you can also add the Trap Kewl Tune Playlist instead for more interruption) Synchro Summon (with Kewl Tune Synchro's effect or not; it is still your turn, so it doesn't really matter much) using Kewl Tune Mix and Reco or Cue (whichever you added) into Kewl Tune Remix. Pass
This End Board contains: Zalen the Shackled Dragon as an Omni-Negate and Synchro Material. You can manipulate his effect by first chaining Kewl Tune Remix to whatever card your opponent may have activated, and then activating Zalen the Shackled Dragon on Chain Link 3; pick the second option in his card text which would allow you to negate their effect;
Kewl Tune Remix can Tribute herself to add to your hand a Kewl Tune and Special Summon another from the grave, then you can Synchro Summon into Kewl Tune B2B using Zalen and Cue if you added her, or just go into Kewl Tune RS if you added Kewl Tune Reco into your hand;
Kewl Tune B2B can also Special Summon a Kewl Tune from grave OR banishment by chaining to whatever monster effect your opponent may activate, and she can do this TWICE a turn, and then you can summon Kewl Tune Reco. You can then immediately Synchro Summon if you have materials or wait so you can activate Kewl Tune Reco's effect on summon to add Kewl Tune Clip;
Kewl Tune Clip can then activate during your opponent's Main Phase to Special Summon itself and Synchro into Kewl Tune RS. You can do this immediately or wait until your opponent has a Spell or Trap to destroy in order to use Kewl Tune Reco's effect upon being used as Synchro material. Additionally, Kewl Tune Clip will also gain her effect when she is used as Synchro Material to banish 1 Extra Deck card from your opponent for the turn; Kewl Tune RS can be used as an Omni-Negate for any on-field effects;
Kewl Tune B2B can activate TWICE a turn so you can again chain to an opponent's monster effect, and Synchro after you use up RS' effect to Synchro Summon into Kewl Tune Loudness War; not only that, but you will be gaining all of the Main Deck's Kewl Tune monsters' effects when you are Synchro Summoning. So within all this, Kewl Tune Cue can stack the deck and banish one of the cards on top, Kewl Tune Clip can banish a card in their Extra Deck for the turn, Kewl Tune Reco can pop a Spell or Trap, and Kewl Tune Rotary can look at their hand and add a Kewl Tune Spell or Trap for follow-up or shuffle to the bottom of their deck a card in their Graveyard; And Kewl Tune Loudness War can copy any of those effects in the Graveyard as additional disruption. If you added Fydraulis Harmonia, he is another form of interruption that you can play, revealing both Golden Cloud Beast - Malong and Wind Pegasus @Ignister and any other 3 Synchros in the Extra Deck, Special Summoning Fydraulis Harmonia, sending either Golden Cloud Beast - Malong or Wind Pegasus @Ignister to the Graveyard, and destroying a card. Then, depending on who you sent to the Graveyard, you can either target and "bounce" a face-up card your opponent controls with Golden Cloud Beast - Malong immediately, or use Wind Pegasus @Ignister's effect while it's in the Graveyard (or field ig) and one of the cards you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect to banish itself, target 1 card your opponent controls, and shuffle it back into the Deck.
Overall, this is a pretty fun deck. Learning how to use your interruptions is the most important aspect and can make learning this deck pretty fun. It's why the "End Board Section" of this description is longer than the actual combo. :p Even the most meta form of this deck is mostly "pure" and, instead of using whatever random casual cards I added into the deck, uses hand-traps instead. I hope you enjoy!
P.S. Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion are there because she's my favourite out of all the "Ghost Sister" hand-traps :p You can remove her if you want ^^
