Ice Barrier now has a proper gameplan and win condition, opting to turbo out their ace boss monster Lancea, Ancestral Dragon of the Ice Mountain so that it can summon an Ice Barrier army as your opponent continues to special summon! Soon, your opponent's strategy will freeze in it's tracks as you summon Ice Barrier floodgates like General Raiho (functions like Skill Drain) and Medium (functions like Anti-Spell) with Lancea. This "synchro boss monster turbo" win con makes Ice Barriers very straighforward and simple to play - almost reminiscent of Swordsoul.
The new support combined with the recent Ice Barrier structure deck support makes Ice Barrier very consistent, featuring many 1-2 card combos complete with starters (Revealer, Hexa Spirit, Medallion) and extenders (Georgius, Speaker, Freezing Chains). This enables the deck to field alot of staple cards, allowing the strategy to effectively compete with other powered combo decks with it's many handtraps and boardbreakers.
The Extra Deck is also mostly a synchro toolbox this deck can access full of offensive (Chengying) and defensive (Toad, Aegirine) boss monsters to best tackle the gamestate.
