This is a deck i constructed to play in my progression style matches with friends after opening Soul of the Duelist, and as such the card list follows the then-current ban list as well as the card pool ive collected along our pack opening journey.
The aim of the deck is to use apprentice magician as battle fodder to search into either your Magician of faith or Old vindictive depending on what you need to accomplish. Use Night assailants to discard off of Dark Cores and Raigeki Breaks for free, or Thunder dragons if Night isn't available. Painful Choice i usually send DMOC, Jinzo, Spirit reaper, and either a M.O.F., Old vind., or apprentice and revive back the big guys with Premat or Call.
