OVERVIEW
Since the release of Phantom Rage on August 8, 2020, Phantom Knights quickly came back from the dead in the competitive scene. The new support cards is the main reason on why this deck is back: with Tear Scale having multiple effect that gives the user a huge advantage, it's also one of the key cards to complete the combo, also let's not forget about Raiders' Knight and Arc Rebellion XYZ Dragon, this 2 cards is the card you need in order to OTK your opponent. This deck can run a ton of extenders while still having space for handtraps and anti-handtraps card, that's why i can safely say that this deck is BROKEN. When building this deck, I really want to add the level 3 Danger! monsters here since it's always plus card even if it's discarded, I know that it's not common to run Dangers! when you have handtraps and anti-handtraps card, but I want this build to be unique and fit my playstyle so I've added it.
1 CARD COMBO (TOUR GUIDE FROM THE UNDERWORLD)
- Normal summon Tour Guide then activate it's effect to special summon Burning Abyss Graff. Link summon Cherubini using Tour Guide and Graff, then activate Graff's effect to special summon Burning Abyss Cir.
- Activate Cherubini's effect to send Silent Boots to the GY. Link summon Bardiche using Cherubini and Cir, activate Cir's effect when it's sent to the GY, to special summon Cherubini from the GY.
- Activate Bardiche's effect to send Tear Scale to the GY, then set the Rank-Up-Magic Phantom Knights' Force.
- Use Silent Boots' effect to search for Fog Blade, then activate Tear Scale's effec to special summon itself when a Phantom Knights card is banished from the GY.
- Activate Tear Scale's effect to discard Fog Blade, then send Ragged Gloves to the GY.
- Activate Ragged Gloves' effect to send Ancient Cloak to the GY.
- Activate Fog Blade's effect on the GY to special summon Ancient Cloak.
- XYZ summon Leviair using Ancient Cloak and Tear Scale. Activate Leviair's effect detaching Ancient Cloak to special summon the banished Ragged Gloves to the field.
- Activate Ancient Cloak's effect from the GY to search for Silent Boots.
- Special summon Silent Boots using it's own effect (you don't need to activate it since it's consider an inherent summon). XYZ summon Phantom Knights of Break Sword using Silent Boots and Ragged Gloves to one of Bardiche's link marker.
- Activate Bardiche's effect to destroy 1 card on the field when a Dark XYZ Monster is special summoned to it's marker, destroy Break Sword in order to use it's effect when it's destroyed, it can special summon 2 Phantom Knights monster with the same level in your GY and increase their level by 1, special summon Ragged Gloves and Silent Boots from the GY.
- XYZ Summon Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon using the two level 4 monster.
- On your opponent's main phase, activate the Rank-Up-Magic from your field to special summon Dark Requiem XYZ Dragon.
- End Board - Bardiche, Cherubini, Leviair, and Dark Requiem XYZ Dragon.
2 CARD COMBO (TOUR GUIDE + ANY LVL 3 EXTENDER)
So for this combo the level 3 extenders are:
- Psychic Tracker
- Psychic Wheeleder
- Danger!? Jackalope!?
- Danger!? Tsuchinoko!?
- Emergency Teleport
I'm going to use Psychic Tracker as an example here.
- Normal summon Tour Guide then activate her effect to special summon Graff from the deck.
- Link Summon Cherubini using the two monster then activate Graff's effect to special summon Cir from the deck.
- Activate Cherubini's effect to send Silent Boots to the GY.
- Link Summon Bardiche using Cherubini and Cir, then activate Cir's effect to special summon Cherubini from the GY.
- Activate Bardiche's effect to send Tear Scale from The GY and to set Shade Brigandine.
- Activate Silent Boot's effect to search for Fog Blade, then activate Tear Scale's effect to speciaul summon itself from the GY.
- Activate Tear Scale's effect to send Fog Blade from the hand to the GY to send Ragged Gloves from the deck to the GY.
- Activate Ragged Gloves' effect to send Ancient Cloak to the GY.
- Activate Fog Blade's effect in the GY to special summon Ancient Cloak.
- XYZ Summon Leviair using Tear Scale and Ancient Cloak, then use it's effect to detach Ancient Cloak and special summon the banished Ragged Gloves.
- Special summon the level 3 extender from your hand (in this example I used Psychic Tracker), then XYZ Summon Number 75 using the two level 3 monsters.
- Use Ancient Cloak's effect to search for Stained Greaves.
- Active Shade Brigandine from the S/T Zone to special summon itself as a level 4 monster, then activate Stained Greaves' effect to special summon itself when a Phantom Knights monster is special summoned to the field. Increase Stained Greaves level by 1 through it's own effect.
- XYZ Summon Number 86 Using the two level 4 monster.
- Activate Number 75's effect to attach itself and all it's material to Number 86.
- Endboard - Number 86 with 5 materials, Bardiche, Cherubini, and Leviair.
EXTRA DECK MONSTERS EXPLANATION
- Dark Requiem XYZ Dragon - This is the monster that you want to summon with your 1 card combo. Has multiple negates and a OTK ability.
- Arc Rebellion XYZ Dragon - Your go to card when you want to OTK your opponent.
- Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon - Most of the time you only use it to summon Dark Requiem XYZ Dragon, though sometimes you need to use this if you cannot summon Requiem.
- Time Thief Redoer - Your fallback option if your combo is stopped.
- Numbe 86: Heroic Champion - Rhongomyniad - If you summoned this and it has 5 materials, it's game.
- The Phantom Knights of Break Sword - Multipurpose card right here, it can pop your opponent's field and can be used to summon your OTK monsters.
- Leviair the Sea Dragon - Combo piece card.
- Number 75: Bamboozling Gossip Shadow - Use this to Number 86 so it can have 5 materials.
- Accesscode Talker - A fallback option if your don't have enough resources for your XYZ play.
- Knightmare Unicorn - Since we have Masquerena.
- Bardiche - Self explanatory card when using Phantom Knights.
- Masquerena - Most of the time you use this to summon Unicorn.
- Cherubini - Self Explanatory card when using Phantom Knights (2).
SIDE DECK CARDS EXPLANATION
- Nibiru, The Primal Being - Good to side against swarm decks.
- Dinowrestler Pankratops - Good card to use when you're going 2nd.
- Artifact Lancea - A Crossout Designator target since it'll be used against you.
- Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion - Since most decks today always have a card effect in the GY.
- Maxx "C" - Side this in if you're going 2nd.
- Twin Twisters - Useful against backrow decks.
- Vanity's Emptiness - A self explanatory card.
- Imperial Order - Another self explanatory card.
- Red Reboot - Once again a self explanatory card.
REMINDERS
- Always check your GY, since this decks is a GY reliant deck.
- This decks is tricky so you need to practice with it a LOT in order to compete in a competitive scene.
- If you summon Number 86 and it has 5 materials, you'll most likely win the game with 99% success rate.
