This is the first deck I've uploaded to this site :)
I'll give you a rundown of the cards in the deck, but I won't go over the extra deck cards, as they aren't that important to the strategy.
Megalosmasher X / Phantasm Spiral Dragon
The beatsticks in the deck. Not much else to say other than the fact that Megalosmasher is the best Normal Summon in the deck, and you want to try and get out both Phantasm Spiral Dragons through the equip spells (which I'll go explain further on)
Gem-Knight Garnet Tenyi Spirit - Adhara
For summoning Naturia Beast (but Garnet can be a Megalosmasher X replacement if you don't have it in hand)
Pacifis, The Phantasm City
For adding your 'Phantasm Spiral' cards from your deck to your hand when you Normal or Special Summon exactly 1 Normal Monster, and also getting a free token on resolution of an opponent's card effect (which isn't once per turn, I may add. This effect is very good if they keep clearing your tokens) Keep in mind that you cannot summon effect monsters the turn you activate EITHER of these effects. In addition, being treated as 'Umi' allows you to activate the Phantasm Spiral traps from your hand.
Phantasm Spiral Crash
Allows for Piercing Damage and can summon Phantasm Spiral Dragon from the hand, deck, or GY when the equipped monster does battle damage to your opponent. The effect to change battle position isn't very useful in some situations (don't use it unless you'll do more damage).
Phantasm Spiral Grip
Boosts ATK by 500, and can summon Phantasm Spiral Dragon from the hand, deck, or GY when the equipped monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle. The effect to then burn your opponent for 1000 dmg is a nice bonus, helpful in most situations.
Phantasm Spiral Wave
Protects from being destroyed in battle once per turn (only the first time though), and can summon Phantasm Spiral Dragon from the hand, deck, or GY at the end of the Battle Phase, ONLY if the equipped monster battled. The effect to make your opponent discard 1 is also a very nice bonus, use it unless you're playing against Dark World, Tearlaments, or any other deck that want its monsters to be sent to the GY by card effects.
Pot of Duality / Pot of Extravagance
More consistency, but Duality does stop you from summoning a token that turn from the field spell, and stops you from using the equip spell effects that turn to summon Phantasm Spiral Dragon.
Terraforming
No explanation needed here (Easier to get the field spell)
Unexpected Dai
Special Summons Megalosmasher X from deck (or if you don't have any, you can summon Garnet instead). You will not be able to activate this if you have used Pot of Duality that turn, and vice versa, so be keep this in mind.
Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi / Waking the Dragon
Used to cheat out monsters from the extra deck when they are destroyed while set. Tenyi can ONLY summon non-effect monsters though, but that downside is balanced with the upside of being an Omni-Negate while you control any non-effect monster (or normal monster). The best card to summon most of the time is the original Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, but if you aren't locked from summoning effect monsters you can also summon Exterio, Dragoon, the Tearlaments fusions, Full Armor Master, the Naturia synchros, Ultimate Falcon, or even Alternative Ultimate Dragon. Choose the right one for the right situation and you'll have a big advantage.
Infinite Impermanence
A negate only for on field monsters that you can activate from your hand if you control no cards. Amazing going first OR second card, and it isn't even once per turn.
Phantasm Spiral Battle
Basically a free destroy effect that you can activate from your hand if you control 'Umi', which Pacifis is treated as. The effect to banish itself from the GY is helpful, but not in every situation. Use it to try and protect your equip cards from being destroyed if one of your monsters is going to be destroyed, and equip all your equip spells to another monster. Keep in mind you have to control at least one NORMAL monster and ONLY normal monsters to even activate this card.
Phantasm Spiral Power
Basically Infinite Impermanence but the monster also loses 1000 ATK and DEF, you can even use it from your hand if you control 'Umi', which the field spell is treated as (I've said that too many times lol). Use the banish from GY effect to try and protect your equip cards from being destroyed if one of your monsters is going to be destroyed, and equip all your equip spells to another monster. Keep in mind you have to control at least one NORMAL monster and ONLY normal monsters to even activate this card. (yes I copy and pasted that)
Skill Drain
Stops negates monster effects on your opponent's field. Why did I not say both player's fields? Because you dont even need effect monsters. Unless you summon effect monsters from the extra deck (which you probably won't be doing that often), Skill Drain will have no negative effects on you (other than the fact you have to pay 1000LP to activate it)
And there you have it! That's my guide to Phantasm Spiral, hopefully it was clear and easy to understand. Please suggest any improvements to the decklist or my guide in the comments. Hope you enjoyed, this, and I hope you enjoy playing this amazing underrated deck!
