TW02 has given Nekroz some of the craziest support cards it could’ve gotten. However, we are going to be looking at Nekroz of Metaltron today which is a Level 9 LIGHT Wyrm Ritual Pendulum Monster. It is a Scale 5 with the Pendulum Effect of being able to target and banish a Spell/Trap card on the field if a Nekroz card(s) is banished face-up once per turn. For its monster effect, it can be Ritual Summoned using any Nekroz Ritual Spell and must be Ritual Summoned without using any Level 9 monsters. During the Main Phase, you can Quick Effect target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls and banish this card until the End Phase and banish that monster. Also, any monster destroyed by battle with your Nekroz monsters is banished. Realistically, this card would not have been that bad if it weren’t for the new Spell that Nekroz got out of TW02. Nekroz Divinemirror is a Quick-Play Spell that allows you to Ritual Summon a Nekroz Ritual Monster during the Main Phase from your hand or banishment by Tributing monsters from your hand and/or field and/or by sending Nekroz monsters from your Extra Deck to the GY whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of that monster. And you can banish it and a Nekroz monster from your GY to search for any Nekroz Spell from your Deck with each effect being once per turn. Divine Mirror is an incredible card for Nekroz, but it being a Quick-Play Spell Card that Ritual Summons means that it can be used to Ritual Summon cards like Nekroz of Trishula and Nekroz of Sophia on your opponent’s turn, and with their powerful on-Ritual Summon effects, they kind of dwarf the benefits that Nekroz of Metaltron gives you. Not to mention that Nekroz of Areadbhair is a monster negate if you are willing to Summon it as you are most likely playing at least 1 in a dedicated Nekroz Deck. You also have Nekroz of Gungnir who is also basically one-for-one removal if you are willing to play her. And you also have Nekroz of Clausolas for an additional interruption against monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck if you haven’t already committed to a Nekroz of Unicore. Therefore, Nekroz of Metaltron is really middling in reality. Even though you could argue that Nekroz doesn’t have that many tools to inherently deal with Spell/Traps, if any at all, you still wouldn’t be necessarily playing her. I don’t even think that it is worth playing her in Zefra, even if Zefra Oracle has an effect that deals with Ritual Summoning using Zefra monsters. But aside from Nekroz of Metaltron, the other support cards that Nekroz got are simply incredible, and it makes my life a whole lot easier when combining them with Prediction Princess. Full combo is Avance or Emilia + a Nekroz Spell or a way to get to one + World Legacy Monstrosity. For the best possible board, let’s say that our hand has Avance, Swordsman of the Nekroz, Nekroz Divinemirror, and World Legacy Monstrosity. Normal Summon Avance, Avance triggers on Normal to Special Summon Emilia, Dance Priestess of the Nekroz from Deck. Emilia triggers on Summon to add a Level 9 Nekroz Ritual Monster from Deck. Let’s say we add Nekroz of Trishula. Activate Divinemirror Tributing Emilia as the entire Tribute to Ritual Summon Trishula. Activate World Legacy Monstrosity targeting Trishula to Special Summon Prediction Princess Bibliomuse and Deus-X Krawler from Deck. Xyz Deus-X and Trishula into Mereologic Aggregator in the EMZ, sending Herald of the Arc Light from Extra Deck to GY. Herald triggers to search for Prediction Princess Tarotrei. Aggregator detaches 1 to attach Herald from GY. Now, if the Spell that we used to Ritual Summon was not Divine Mirror, we would be Linking off Avance and Aggregator into an I:P Masquerena or an S:P Little Knight. But since we did use Divinemirror, we will just be Linking Aggregator into Gravity Controller because we have a different use for Avance. After Linking off Aggregator, Herald triggers after it hits the GY again to search for Underworld Ritual of Prediction. Activate Underworld Ritual Tributing Bibliomuse to Ritual Summon Tarotrei. Bibliomuse triggers in GY to Special Summon herself back face-down. Tarotrei flips Bibliomuse face-up and Bibliomuse activates to search for Prediction Princess Tarotreith and another Underworld Ritual. Activate the second Underworld Ritual tributing Bibliomuse to Ritual Summon Tarotreith face-down. Now, activate the effect of Divinemirror in GY by banishing it and Nekroz of Trishula from GY to search for another Divinemirror from Deck. Set Divinemirror and proceed to the End Phase. During the End Phase, Tarotrei Special Summons back Deus-X from GY face-down. During your opponent’s Standby Phase, Tarotrei flips Tarotreith face-up and Underworld Ritual banishes from GY to Special Summon a Bibliomuse from Deck face-down. Tarotreith can then flip both Deus-X and Bibliomuse face-up. And you also have Divinemirror face-down which can Ritual Summon Trishula from banishment by tributing Avance at any point. If it wasn’t for this Deck needing to hard draw Monstrosity, this would be one of the best Prediction Princess variants that I have played around with. But even so, it still is miles better than my Nekroz Prediction Princess Deck before the TW02 support.
For the Main Deck Monsters: 3 Prediction Princess Tarotrei, 2 Prediction Princess Tarotreith, and 3 Prediction Princess Bibliomuse. Tarotrei can Quick Effect flip a monster on field face-up or face-down and she can Special Summon a Flip Monster from hand or GY face-down during your End Phase. Tarotreith must either be Ritual Summoned or Special Summoned via Tarotrei's effect in the End Phase. Her Flip Effect Special Summons a Flip Monster from your Deck face-downn and she can also Quick Effect flip any number of your monsters face-up or face-down. Bibliomuse can Special Summon herself back face-down after being Tributed and sent there. Her Flip Effect adds a Prediction Princess monster other than herself and a Ritual Spell from Deck to hand and while she is face-up on the field, your Ritual Monsters gain targeting and destruction protection from your opponent’s card effects. 1 Deus-X Krawler which negates all activated monster effects on your opponent's side of the field after it has been flipped face-up and if it is destroyed on field, you can search for a Level 9 monster with a different Type and Attribute. 1 Pot of the Forbidden which has a Flip Effect that lets you choose between Drawing 2 cards, returning all Spell/Traps on the field to the hand, destroying all monsters your opponent controls, or looking at your opponent's hand and shuffling a card from it back into the Deck.1 Nekroz of Metaltron. I have been harping on how bad she is, but she is just here so that I can cross her off of the list of Level 9 monsters I have tested with. 1 Nekroz of Trishula which can be Ritual Summoned with any Nekroz Ritual Spell and must be Ritual Summoned without using any Level 9 monsters. When a card or effect is activated that targets a Nekroz monster(s) you control, you can Quick Effect discard it to negate the activation and when it is Ritual Summoned, you can banish exactly 3 of your opponent’s cards, 1 each from their hand, field, and GY with the card in hand being chosen at random. 3 Nekroz of Brionac which can be Ritual Summoned with any Nekroz Ritual Spell and must be Ritual Summoned without using itself. You can discard it to add a Nekroz monster from your Deck to your hand other than itself and while it is face-up on the field, you can target up to 2 face-up monsters on the field that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck and shuffle them into the Deck. 2 Nekroz of Clausolas which can be Ritual Summoned with any Nekroz Ritual Spell and you can discard it to add a Nekroz Spell/Trap from Deck and it can Quick Effect target a face-up monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to negate its effects and change its ATK to 0 for the rest of the turn. 3 Avance, Swordsman of the Nekroz and 3 Emilia, Dance Priestess of the Nekroz. Avance Special Summons a different Nekroz monster from Deck than itself on Normal Summon and it can be used as an entire Tribute for the Ritual Summon of 1 Nekroz Ritual Monster while you control it. And if it is Tributed by a card effect, you can add any number of your banished Nekroz cards with different names to your hand. Starting with his first effect, it’s great. It gets you Emilia in this Deck, but it can also get you Shurit or Ariel in a dedicated Nekroz Deck. For its second effect, it is really nice to not have to fiddle with stars for Ritual Summoning. HOWEVER, it is important to understand that Avance and Emilia’s effect to treat itself as an entire Tribute is NOT the same as Shurit’s effect to treat himself as the entire Tribute for a Ritual Summon. You have to control Avance and Emilia to treat them as an entire Tribute while Shurit can be treated as an entire tribute from anywhere (hand, field, or GY). This is why I have decided not to play Nekroz Mirror in this Deck. It is not a big deal, but it is important to keep in mind to prevent yourself from making an illegal play if you do play Mirror or if you try to Tribute Avance or Emilia from hand as an entire Tribute. Moving onto Avance’s third effect, it is also really nice. Being able to add ANY NUMBER of banished Nekroz cards to hand is insane, especially with Divinemirror allowing you to immediately banish it and a Nekroz monster from GY rather than requiring you to control no monsters like the other Nekroz Ritual Spells or needing you to banish as part of a Ritual Summon like with Nekroz Mirror. Going back to my earlier combo explanation, if you Ritual Summon Trishula on your opponent’s turn with Divinemirror by Tributing Avance, you can just add back the previously banished Divinemirror, giving you an immediate way to Ritual Summon a Nekroz monster on your following turn. As for Emilia, she can also be treated as an entire Tribute for the Ritual Summon of 1 Nekroz Ritual Monster while you control her. If you have a Warrior Nekroz monster on field or in GY, you can Special Summon her from hand and if she is Normal or Special Summoned you can add a Nekroz Ritual Monster or Nekroz Spell from your Deck. She’s really quite nice, especially with her ability to search for cards you need.
For Spell/Traps: 1 Instant Fusion for Master of Ham. 3 Nekroz Divinemirror. 1 Nekroz Cycle which Ritual Summons a Nekroz Ritual Monster by Tributing monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels exactly equal the Level of the Ritual Monster. 3 Underworld Ritual of Prediction which Ritual Summons a Prediction Princess Ritual Monster from hand or GY face-up or face-down and you can banish it during the Standby Phase to Special Summon a non-Ritual Prediction Princess monster from Deck face-down. 1 Pot of Prosperity. 3 World Legacy Monstrosity which can either Special Summon a Level 9 monster from your hand or target a Level 9 monster you control to Special Summon 2 Level 9 monsters from your Deck with a different type and Attribute, but with different names. 1 Called by the Grave. 3 Preparation of Rites which adds a Level 7 or lower Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand, then, allowing you to add a Ritual Spell from GY to hand. And 1 Foolish Burial.
Extra Deck: 1 Master of Ham which is an Instant Fusion target that Special Summons a Flip Monster from hand or Deck face-down on Fusion Summon. 2 Herald of the Arc Light which adds a Ritual Monster or Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand if it is sent to the GY. 1 Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder. 1 Infinitrack Earth Slicer. 2 Mereologic Aggregator. 1 Laevateinn, Generaider Boss of Shadows and 1 Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity. 1 Underworld Goddess of the Closed World. 1 S:P Little Knight and 1 I:P Masquerena. 1 Knightmare Phoenix. 1 Dyna Mondo. It requires 2 monsters including a Ritual and on Special Summon, it targets a card on field and a Ritual Monster in your GY, shuffling both into the Deck. And during your opponent’s turn, you can Quick Effect Tribute it to target a Ritual Monster in your GY to either add it to your hand or Special Summon it. Considering that you may be going through a couple of Nekroz Ritual Monsters (Brionac and Clausolas) for your starting combo, you are gonna have a useless Ritual Monster sitting in GY to shuffle back with Dynamondo. Or you can add back say a Clausolas from GY to hand with its second effect to Ritual Summon it out on your opponent’s turn with Divinemirror. Of course, this is if you are willing to make Dyna Mondo on your opponent’s turn with I:P Masquerna if S:P Little Knight isn’t what you are needing the most in the moment. Finally, 1 Gravity Controller.
Side Deck: 3 Nibiru, the Primal Being, 3 Droll & Lock Bird, 3 Dark Ruler No More, 1 Harpie’s Feather Duster, 2 Lightning Storm, and 3 Evenly Matched.
