As someone who loves the Mitsurugi archetype, I'm tired of seeing it paired up with Ryzeal. However, while I don't like the Ryzeal engine itself, I like what it is capable of, with making King of the Feral Imps then using Eclipse Twins to resummon it to hit the full Mitsurugi. So, I thought to myself, "How can I achieve this without using those little engines?" Then I remembered my cursed Exosister Pile deck and found exactly what I needed.
Using the Superheavy engine or a mini Shark engine with Surfacing Big Jaws to start and extend with the Springans engine is so satisfying to me. Especially because the combo isn't locked into Rank 4 Xyz's whihc allows to boards to end on I:P to make Dyna Mondo on the opponent's turn and potentially Gigantic Sargas for a pop/bounce, dpeneding on the Xyz monster you end on.
Now, this weird variant may not be Mitsurugi Ryzeal, but it gets the job done surprisingly well and doesn't burn a hole in your pocket, though I'm still holding out for Mitsurugi Ritual reprints.
