Millenium Exodia - July 2024

EXODIA SMASH

- All the adds :

Blue-Eyes adds Ankh on discard from hard. Easy.

Shield adds Ankh when in backrow, by paying 2k LP or revealing Ankh.

Sengenjin adds a Millennium monster when in backrow, by paying 2k LP or revealing Ankh.

Golem adds Wedju Temple when in backrow, by paying 2k LP or revealing Ankh.

Wedju Temple, while not exactly an add, lets you place a monster in hand in backrow, to then place a Millennium monster in deck in backrow.

Finally, Unstoppable Exodia sets an Exodd or Obliterate!!! card during End Phase. Targets are Obliterate!!! Blaze if you can just hit and kill, or Exxod Fires of Rage for a cool, unconditionnal boardclear.

It's very easy to see that Ankh is absolutely vital to the deck. Get it in hand as fast as possible, and when you get it; get a second copy too.

- Tech cards :

Maiden : mostly there to make Unstoppable Exodia immune to Imperm, its worst counter. It is in fact so deadly to it, that running an alternative list with 3 Imperm and 3 Crossout is not the worst idea.

Dimension Shifter : an auto-win against certain decks, and you almost never touch your GY. Blue-Eyes can resolve under Shifter, or you can Shifter after Blue-Eyes' reborn effect. Careful, letting an Exodia limb go to banish is an automatic defeat, Ankh cannot reveal it in GY or banish. Also, don't be me, remember to Shifter before Pot of Prosperity.

Lava Golem : no normal summon in this deck, double kaiju, easy to beat over with Unstoppable Exodia, and a burn in opp's Standby if you lack just that much damage. Also, not once per turn. Honorary Millennium monster.

Set Rotation : if your opponents uses an important Field spell, you can Set Secret Village on his field and Wedju Temple on yours, and he will not be able to remove it, same goes if he does not play a Spellcaster. It is very dangerous to do so if your opponents does play one though, and manages to out your Exodia.

Super Polymerization : this counters Fiendsmith hard, Dragostapelia especially. Garura is great against Ryzeal, and Earth Golem is perfect against Maliss.

Dimensional Barrier : death sentence to Ryzeal. Very strong to White Forest, and to Azamina and Fiendsmith, even if your Unstoppable Exodia  catches a stray bullet.

Needs updating, list is not accurate

Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians : there only to rescue an Exodia limb in GY, as Ankh does not work with them there. Unstoppable Exodia cannot be reborn, since you never actually fusion summon it.

Baby Goddess / Actual Goddess : when you need removal but haven't drawn Lava Golem, use the white ladies.

Relinquished Anima : only linkable with an Exodia limb, cool targeted removal. Remember to Selene to save the limb (it rhymes so it's true).
