aegirine rahn is not yet available at MD, so this cant be used there yet
(and by the time she arrives, it would probably a bit too late for the deck)
an attempt to make an icejade deck that could at least compete with the meta (or rogue, whatever really)
winning condition is setting up the icejade lock, if youre successful, its pretty much instant win unless you're up against deck that relies on spell / trap
setting up the lock turn 1 is almost impossible though, and you usually dont have the resource to keep the recycle going in the first place, hence to do the second best case scenario for turn 1 which is setting up gymir - chengying tower and hope for the best. deep sea diva + rhan is able to easily set it up. bonus point if you got erosion as backup if you got kaiju'd.
it should be noted again that icejade as a whole doesn't perform as well against backrow-focused deck, pray they dont have compulsory or something
=========
Basic Combo :
Need in hand : deep sea diva, aegirine rhan, any water or icejade card
Pretty straightfoward, just summon diva --> guitar guinard --> increase level (either diva or guitar), synchro accel stardust or pimma donna
for accel, ss diva from gy and make gymir --> ss rahn and synchro out chengying
for primadonna, ss aegirine from your deck, add erosion (or the setup for lock if you have the cards in hand), the rest of the step is the same
further play would depend on your hand, but youre mostly done here.
Prima Donna Combo :
Need in hand : diva, tremora, any icejade, any water or icejade card
Its mostly the same.
synchro out prima donna --> ss aegirine to add rahn (if not on hand, aegirocassis if you have but no lock material) --> synchro gymir
here's where it differs :
ss rahn (always discard the icejades that actives on gy if you could) --> use tremora to ss the bonus icejade / water --> link marincess coral anemone with rahn and the bonus water body --> ss prima donna with anemone effect --> make chengying with prima donna and the token
now you have the gymir-chengying tower, both untargetable (just by monsters, unfortunately), and cannot be destroyed by card effect or banished once gymir effect resolve, and also an extra coral anemone that could stage a good resource recycle if she's still on the field next turn.
Bonus Play 1 :
Need in hand : aegirine, tremora/kosmochlor, cenote
An extra line of play in case you dont open with any of the synchro starter, and need to put out something for your board. This is also my personal line of play back before i go synchrojade with deep sea diva :
summon aegirine --> search either field or cradle (or curse, depends on hand) --> active tremora to ss kosmochlor --> link coral anemone--> active cenote and add kosmochlor --> ss kosmochlor again--> active cenote, target kosmochlor --> ss egyptian god slime, put it anywhere on the field except where coral anemone points to --> actives coral to ss kosmochlor again
if you have curse, play it ; if you got erosion, set it (duh). this one is a simple enough board that will probably be gone without curse, but it is often enough to stall, as you still have tremora on the gy to ss aegirine.
Bonus Play 2 :
If you decide to put the therion cards into the deck (don't worry, they actually mesh in quite well for 3 card (for either 43 card, or 42, you can replace 1 erosion), you would gain access to a new line of... combo? not sure if that's the right word. Anyway,
IF you have aegirocassis on GY :
ss therion reaper fum --> target aegirocassis to equip --> active aegirocassis to ss itself (you must NOT active the first effect to equip prior to this)
--> pull a funny on your opponent and XYZ diablosis
most likely your opponent won't expect this move (let alone up against icejade, bcs who even uses icejade (me)). its funny, and it puts your opponent in a confused state because this deck they never heard of just summoned The Number 89.
> do note that while erosion is always the optimal tower endboard (on top of being your protection against backrow), it also depends on your gy in most cases too, make sure the card your opponent plays warrant enough threat for you to sacrifice gymir without any icejades backup in the gy
> primma donna adds a card to your opponent's hand in order to ss from the deck, so it might be a bit off-putting. i personally dont like my opponent getting cards for free
> be grateful against opponent that relies on attacking you but were unable to break your board : if they want to brute force kosmochlor alone they will need at least 5600 attack, nearly impossible without equip and such, not to mention you got icejade backup to ss kosmochlor again (or aegirine, which cannot be destroyed once per turn.. and ss kosmochlor again). icejade is just unbeatable when it comes to good ol' battle phase of attack and defense.
> replace either psychic end punisher or ravenous croc on extra if you want to put something else (diablosis, for example)
> by the way, while it is common conception that the endboard of Icejade Lock is Cenote + Curse + Kosmochlor, a full lock actually got Erosion in the back, as well as an extra icejade body (Aegirine in most case). Always keep in mind that you're still not in the clear if you don't have Erosion, one lightning storm or feather duster and you will go bye - bye
> some people might also end up hating you if you lock them, so uhh, yeah

side deck is there for spare cards that may or may not get in the deck and other options that seems to be available, mix and match to your heart's content.
i build icejade because its the albaz lore archetyoe that literally doesn't exist, and i feel bad about them. now its my favorite deck, welp.
happy dueling.
