After some testing, I have figured out that actually playing Z-arc is worth the lack of extra deck space. This list is much more streamlined into getting access to you're mainline combo whether or not you have access to ositnato.
Obviously this deck can still put up a formidable endboard with ostinato ending on vortex, masq, Exceed the pend, and a live Soul of the Supreme celestial king that translates into a Z-arc pop. I wont go over everything i did in the last list(just go look at that for the main stuff.) So for this I will just explain some more specific details.
1.Z-arc is worth it to play around some specifics. The original lists endboard was countered by DRNM but now you can retain access to a board wipe with the trap. Plus I have noticed that Tenpai has some serious issues getting around Z-arc conventionally.
2. This builds ED space is extremly tight. You have basically 2 free spots to use for tech. I choose Underworld Goddess to deal with potential Towers and I choose tapier in awkward hands that can only put 2 bodies but no scales on board. Everything els is, imo, Mandatory.
3. The reason for the Odd-eyes pend dragon is cause its material for Z-arc. You need to banish Dragons specifically off the trap to get Z-arc online so using the pend magicians that are always treated as each dragon doesnt work. And because the ED space is tight having 1 of the dragons maindecked gives some space to work.
4. Realistically it doesnt matter if you go with the original or the Normal Pendulum dragon, both are just material for Z-arc. The only notable differences are that Pendulum dragon can search out Gate Zero, Couplet, or Luisworm in VERY awkward hands whereas Arc Pend Dragon can be foolished for dragon shrine to still send Druisworm and has favorable High scale. They aren't bricks per say but that doesnt mean its fun to draw them.
5. This deck can realistically play through most handtraps. D-shifter is where Baguska comes in since most decks on shifter have problems with the sleepy boi. Nibiru can be annoying but opponents will have to fire it early to prevent you from getting your vortex dragon online, Usually you will still have the Pendulum summon left after they nib early. You dont have to search AS much if you get drolled but obviously you will have a weaker endboard but it will still be a competent endboard.
