Melffy Sprunick
Deck Primer
Sidenote : It's so funny to me that some cutie animals playing tag and such, have the power to call on a lord(both in virtual & rose forms), a big-ass samurai(both in math & soul forms), and an icemommy (while also containing the power to build a Zeusbot).
Here are your starter plays :
- Spright Starter(badum-tss) -> Sp. Blue -> Sp. Carrot/Red -> Sp. Elf/Gigantic
This is an inefficient combo, since you will have at the end only 2 bodies' worth of cards. If possible, use combo below :
- Spright Blue -> Sp. Jet -> Grab Spright Starter -> Sp. Carrot/Red -> Sp. Elf/Gigantic (use Blue & Jet)
Mmm, better; It's 3 bodies' worth of cards. You can also go Jet -> Starter -> Blue, and have the same end result.
Now, you can choose to go Gigantic, then Sp. Wally, then combo during opp.'s turn :
- Melffy Wally -> Sp. Melffy Puppy & Catty -> Sp. Pony/(Fenny) & Grab Pinny -> Bounce Pony/Fenny -> Synchro S. w/ Pinny
You can also use Puppy as starter, then Sp. Wally. This combo gives a 10 Star-worth of Synchro Summon. Lastly, Runick Combo :
- Runick(any Quick Play) -> Hugin -> Grab Fountain -> Runick(QP) -> stonks
Also, you must have seen this already, but... :
- Ns. Beaver -> Sp. Gigantic -> Blue(starter combo) -> Elf
Usually, you want to start with the Runick combo(so it can get Ass Blossomed), then with Hugin, a (2*), you can go Spright combo. Its really fine for Runick to get Ass Blossomed, since they have lots of ways to Grab Fountain (Run. Tip, Terraf., Hugin). Though, even if you don't get negated, just complete the Runick combo, for the extra draws, so you can have more plays(Blue/Starter/Wally)
Once you get Runick Fountain working, expect it to draw not much Runick cards, until 2-3 turns after, since you need to shred off the Sprights and Melffys from your deck.
For the Melffys, when planning to Synchr. a Lv. 8/10, if you have a 10/12 Star-worth of Melffys, save your Wally, so you can restart the combo. To restart the combo, you would also need the Melffy Hide-and-Seek to recycle Catty, Pony, Fenny (these are high prio, since they're only one in your deck.), then Puppy, Wally, Pinny(low prio, since 2 in deck.).
If your opponent is a smart-ass lil' bit- ,and decides to not summon/pass turns, so you can't proc Runicks/Melffys, you can :
- Ns. Pinny -> then use Hugin to go Cupid Pitch(4*) -> activate Pitch (6*) -> Sp. Geri -> Lv.10 Synchro Stonks.
The best part is, Geri is actually recyclable using Hide-and-Seek, since Geri's a beast. (I need Hugin to grow some beast ears, so she can be a beast-)
If you really, really, really want to be environmentally friendly, and recycle her: Combo PSY-Framelord Omega to unbanish your sacrificial Hugins & Munin -> Sanctum of Parshath -> Recycle Cupid Pitch, Hugin, Munin, Herald of Arc Light... (How much hopium did I inhale for this?)
Oh, speaking of Herald of Arc Light, (no, this is not a Ritual Deck); Since Pinny is a quick effect, let's say your opponent activates Grass Ch.(1), you can Ch(2) Pinny, and since Pinny will Synchro Summon upon resolve, Arc Light can tapdance over Havnis and Mudora's dead bodies. Just be careful since your monster cards can get burned as well...
Alright, tips and weaknesses :
- Go Carrot(instead of Red), since floodgates/spell&traps are your main weakness. Sometimes, its basic beatdown decks, tho- (parlor d.maid laughs as she calls sheoumni negate, while also boasting 3k atk stats.)
- Another weakness of this is anti-tear decks(Exosisters, etc), and banishers(Dimensional Fissure), and a recent card which has shown Anti-Tear capabilities : The End of Anubis which may end your Runick/Melffy recycle and Elf revive. (*loads flashing fire gun*)
- If going Geomathmech, use Staring Contest(and add M. Rabby), though Geomathmech does not fit in mostly with the banish cast. (He's good in a Melffy-centric Synchro deck.)
- Also, if Hide-and-Seek or Staring Contest breaks... be careful to not break H&S, since you need it for the recycling, though its not necessary.
- Munin is also weird here, since he is a 3(*)/not Spright-friendly, and an odd Lv. (not-Synchro-friendly), feel free to take him out. (and Allure, too?)
- What the...?! Ah, yes. Shameless plug : the Nemlerias!!, as part of the banishment and beast decks. (and cute(?) designs<3)
- You can add Kalantosa for a free pop!, though you if you use her, you will only have 8 Star-worth of Synchro at the end.
- Melffy Forest is there for spell searching, and can be Xyz-ed by Sprights.
- Be careful when using Gigantic and Elf, since Gigant. locks you out of Synchros(which you will do mostly on opp.s turn, though.)
- And Elf locks you of the Extra Zone ("Mom said its my turn to use the Extra Zone" - Sigma and Hugin, 2023)
- In general, as much as possible, don't place things on the Extra Zone, since Mathmechy and Huggy need them.
- Please don't destroy me, Kitkallos forced my hand to make this, iswear-
- Disclaimer : I haven't tried this exact deck ratio yet, my changes are just (1 Blue , 1 Starter, 2 Maxx, No Ash, 3 Dispelling, 3 Smiting)(I'm broke)
