Mausoleum Edison

Welcome to my Mausoleum Control deck for the Edison Format! This build focuses on bypassing the traditional tribute mechanics to turbo out massive floodgate monsters and heavy hitters on Turn 1, completely locking the opponent out of their game plan.

Core Strategy

The heart of the deck is -Mausoleum of the Emperor (searchable via -Terraforming). By paying Life Points, we can Normal Summon absolute terrors like -Vanity's Fiend (stops Special Summons) or -Jinzo (stops Traps) without needing to establish a board first. We sustain this life point cost using a carefully balanced package of -Supremacy Berry and -Golden Ladybug. If the Mausoleum is destroyed, we have a robust backup plan using -Gravekeeper's Spy and a heavy defensive line (-Battle Fader, -Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, -Tragoedia) to survive and gather real tribute fodder.

Key Interactions & Combos

• The Unstoppable Golem: Paying 2000 LP for -Ancient Gear Golem is a steal in Edison. Since the opponent cannot activate Spells/Traps until the end of the Damage Step, staple removal cards like -Dimensional Prison or -Mirror Force are completely useless against it.

• The 200 IQ Side Deck Tech: -Mask of Restrict is our secret weapon against Monarchs. It prevents all players from tributing. However, because Mausoleum of the Emperor allows us to Normal Summon without tributing, the restriction only affects the opponent!

• The Quick-Play Lockdown: Bringing in -Invader of Darkness from the side deck is devastating. The most common outs to our big monsters in Edison are Quick-Play spells like -Book of Moon or -Enemy Controller. The Invader shuts those down entirely.

• The Machine Eater: We run -Cyber Dragon in the side and 3x -Chimeratech Fortress Dragon in the Extra Deck. When facing Machina or Gadget decks, going second allows us to eat their entire board for free.

• The Ultimate Bluff: You might notice there are no Tuners in the Main Deck. The 12 Synchro monsters in the Extra Deck are purely there to bluff the opponent into playing around threats that don't exist!
