Back during TOSS format, the PPG success of Shannon Long with this unconventional strategy that plays the game on a strange axis resonated with me. I played this deck at locals, to some tops, and regionals, unfortunatley with none. Mind you, this was pre-Girsu and pre-Lib, so there's more explosivity in the combos. While the deck hasn't changed much since 2020, I'm doing alright with it on the Master Duel ladder, taking advantage of button-clickers and non-readers left and right. You'll still brick to high heaven about 20% of the time, but such is life. Girsu does give the deck some plays going first, but the goal is still blinding second, using Gameciel and Girsu's token summoning effect to create columns, or resorting to board breakers you can set and activate on the same turn, or normal summoning a hand trap and converting into Anima or Almiraj. I'm maining copies of all three column floodgates, mainly due to a lack of a side deck, just for matchups where Whisper's Spell negation comes in handy.
