This is a modern take on Lair of darkness utilizing labrynth bystial and metalmorph engines.
Several small synergies across the archetypes work together, allowing for excellent grind game and disruption.
Archetypes and what they bring to the table
Lair of Darkness - This is the most important card of the deck turning all attributes to dark, allowing for the tribute of your opponent's monsters as cost for your own cards effects bypassing almost every protection in the game. Additionally it serves as a pseudo floodgate against cards that require specific attributes, the most prevalent of these is the fiendsmith engine.
Metalmorph - By tributing a fiend or dragon we can bring out either of the metalmorph monsters which are powerful enough on their own. Where these cards truly shine is when lair of darkness is on the field allowing the tribute of the opponent's dragon or fiend cards. This comes up more often then you might expect as many boss monsters fall in these catagories, ie. Fiendsmith Desirae, Crimson Dragon ect.
Bystial - These are the only hand traps in the deck and serve as dragons for Max Metalmorph. Unlike standard bystial usage, Baldrake is the best summon of the bystials as Lair of Darkness allows for the tribute of the opponent's monster to activate the effect, if timed right can shut down an opponents turn.
Labrynth - This bridges the gap between the archetypes allowing for the search of metalmorph traps as well as offering a fiend for the summon of Metalzoa X. Lady Labrynth prevents opponents from responding to activation of normal traps with monster effects, insulating from Ash Blossom. Special mention to Big Welcome Labrynth which not only allows the summon of a labrynth monster but also can return bystials and Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay to the hand for reuse.
Supreme King Z-ARC - Utilizing Soul of The Supreme King prevents your opponent from activating spell effects (unless they want to let you summon 4 powerful dragons) as well as providing a 4000 atk beater for lethal or clearing the field of problematic monsters. Keep in mind it returns to the extra-deck at the end of the turn, counter it by tributing it for Odd-Eyes Arcray Dragon which allows you to place either of the two pendulum monsters included.
Pendulum Monsters - Vulminia - Statue of the Sacred Dragon turns any trap that summons a monster into a bounce as well as providing conditional battle protection. Harvest Angel of Doom allows for the search of Black Horn of Heaven, an amazing counter trap preventing the opponent from summoning problematic extra-deck monsters.
