- Overview -
This deck turns Labrynth into more a supportive factor in the deck, being used more for link bodies and consistent recursion as well with a few traps that help this deck's boss monsters against problems they face.
We focus less on handtraps and more on boardbreaking and drawing into those boardbreakers, with cards like: Maxx C, Super Poly, Droll & Lock and Karma Cannon. My philosphy is, going first, I want to draw engine, this decks Labrynth Combo's aren't stopped from Ash/Imperm, so playing through handtraps is easy, with Arias we hope they waste interruption on our Labrynth Monsters. We can build boards through, Ash/Imperm/Veiler and with Yubel we can play easily through Nibiru as well.
But going second, has always been Labrynth's weakness, playing through built up boards has always been a weakpoint, so we play to improve the decks going second weakness, which in MD you will often go second based on just the odds of a coinflip. If you go first, and endup drawing boardbreakers, you can use them as discard fodder or destory fodder for Shavarya.
Most Meta decks will be able to play through, Maxx C/Ash/Imperm, but most meta decks can't deal with boardbreaker cards that deny them a chance to chain. So if you would rather play Nib/Ash, I would remove 1/2 Karma Cannon and both Ultimate Slayer, Add 2 Ash/2Nib instead, however, you will likely find yourself in trouble going second into meta decks, can't always just rely on going first.
We utilise Yubel as our other method to counter handtraps, giving a monster negate that turns into a body on field or another monster negate on your opponents turn.
EndBoard Going First: Desirae/Phantom of Yubel/Rage>Little Knight/ A Trap Card or two and Big Welcome in grave that can spin anything my opponent controls like Chaos Angels etc.
2 Omni-Negates 1 Monster Negate, 1 SP Summon Link Off > 1 Banish + Banish till endphase + GY Activated Spin.
Going Second OTK: Desiare/Anguish>Accesscode = Lethal DMG, with Desiare on field the opponent will struggle to stop you, getting accesscode, when accesscode hits the field you get atleast 1-2 pops where the opponent cannot respond making OTKing very easy whilst using your opponents monsters to build it.
- Combos -
[Labrynth Combos]:
Butler Activate > SP Summon: Arianna > Arianna Activate > Add: Lady > SP Summon: Lady Lab > Link: Closed Moon > Link: Requireum > [Follow Basic Fiendsmith Combo] (If your opponent interacts with you at any point, SP Summon: Butler from GY and Link: Closed Moon).
Activate Clock > Activate Stovie > SP Summon: Clock > Activate: Big Welcome > SP Summon: Lovely Lab > Send Clock To Hand > Trigger Stovie + Lovely > Set Big Welcome from GY > Link: Closed Moon > [Follow Basic Fiendsmith Combo]. Normal Summon: Clock > Link w/Clock+Sequance: Yama/Anguish (Depending on if you're board breaking or setting up). > Yama Activate > Add: Shavarya > Summon Shavarya > Link: Rage / Link: Anguish > Link: Accesscode Talker.
[Yubel Combos]:
Activate Nightmore Throne > Destroy: Spirit of Yubel > Summon: Yubel > Contact Fusion: Phantom of Yubel (Use this to negate, Maxx C, Ash Blossom, Nibiru). Activate: Phantom of Yubel (Negate) > Destroy: Spirit of Yubel > Summon Yubel (Either contact summon a second phantom of yubel, or use Yubel in a link, remember you can always send yubel to GY before contact summoning because you can use cards in your hand, GY or field, so using Yubel as Spin target for draw back on Big Welcome or Shavayra Summon is very effective).
[Yubel in Hand] Activate: Nightmare Throne > Add: Clock > Activate Clock > Contact Fusion w/Yubel&Clock > Fusion Summon: Phantom of Yubel.
[Fiendsmith Combos]:
Engraver Activate > Add Tract > Tract Activate > Add Lurrie > Send Lurrie > Summon Lurrie > Link: Requirum > Summon Lacrima > Send Engraver > Engraver GY Activate > Link: Sequence > Fusion: Desirae (Before equiping Sequence to Desirae if you have a spare body on field, link into Yama and climb into another monster).
Summon Lacrima > Activate > Send Engraver > Link: Requrium > Summon Engraver > Engraver GY Activate > Link: Sequence > Fusion: Desirae.
