Everything from how to do the combo, to card choices, to why I picked zoodiac whiptail in particular is explained in the video.
WHAT WE WILL EXPLAIN HERE:
What M-X-SABER INVOKER ADDS TO PK.
- Invoker allows PK to set-up a negate & a pop without ever commiting to the summon of Rusty Bardiche.
- It minimizes the importance of Bardiche resolving.
- (ie: If they hold Ash / Imperm for Bardiche letting Invoker resolve. You only miss out on 1 rank 4 & a Fog Blade. You still get 70% of you distruption through Invoker.)
- It allows you to even do this under a near deadly threat like Shifter.
- Commit 2 3s to the board. Make Levair, Mat you detached is banished. Bring it back + extender, invoker -> Whiptail = F0 + Drident.
DOWNSIDES:
- You are adding another "Brick" into the deck and my list plays at 40
- If you draw Whiptail, Invoker is useless.
- Could be smart to go above 40; however, you'd need to rebalance the amount of handtraps, 3s, etc.
- I played at 43 for a while and had bricking issues. I cut to 40 for consistency.
- Drawing A BA can hurt the Advantage train. Drawing Graff or Cir means you do not get to float back into them while Cherubini is on board.
- UNLESS you have Torn Scales in rotation to discard Graff / Cir.
The Invoker line is worth playing - without a doubt. It reminds me, to an extent, of the halq line that used to be avaliable in Phantom Knight at the same point in the PK Combo. This provides similar advantage and board building potential. It's to good to ignore.
Please do check out the video and let me know what you think. Do you think Invoker is worth playing?
