With ALIN on the horizon, I wanted to test out both Diabellze the White Witch and Diabellstar the Sin Adjudicator. Of course, you can play these cards in White Forest like the OCG currently does since White Witch is considered to be a White Forest monster. However, you can still very much play them outside of White Forest while being able to make great use of both of their capabilities. So what do they do? Diabellze the White Witch is always treated as a White Forest monster. While she is on the field, monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects while you control 2 or more Diabell monsters (which is almost all the time since she gets you to Sin Adjudicator). Then, she has an activated effect in hand which allows you to send a Spell/Trap from hand or field to the GY to Special Summon her, and if she is Normal or Special Summoned, you can send a Sinful Spoils or Diabell card from your Deck to the GY. Diabellze essentially gives pretty good protection while also being able to facilitate a line that gets you to Sin Adjudicator which I will explain shortly. Diabellstar the Sin Adjudicator is always treated as a Sinful Spoils card. While she is in your hand or GY, you can banish 1 Spell and 1 Trap from your hand or GY to Special Summon her. And as a Quick Effect, you can pay half your Life Points and target a card your opponent controls to destroy it. Then, if there is another Diabell Monster Card on field (it can be yours in your Monster Zone or Spell/Trap Zone or one that your opponent controls), you can Special Summon 1 Illusion or Spellcaster Synchro Tuner from your Extra Deck. The connection between these two is that White Witch can get you to Sin Adjudicator. White Witch then provides momentary protection (while you keep Diabellstar on field) while Sin Adjudicator can pop a card and Summon a Synchro Tuner for futher plays and/or interruption on your opponent's turn.
All that you need to get from Diabellze the White Witch to Diabellstar the Sin Adjudicator is White Witch and a Spell/Trap to send for her effect. Or, you can literally just start with the new White Forest Field Spell, Witches of the White Forest, which does search for White Witch on activation. Activate Witches of the White Forest and search for Diabellze the White Witch. You are now locked into non-DARK monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn which is not an issue. Diabellze activates in hand, sending Witches of the White Forest from field to GY to Special Summon herself. On Special Summon, her second effect activates which sends Curse of Diabell from Deck to GY. If Curse of Diabell is sent to the GY or banished from hand or Deck, it can add a Diabell Spell/Trap from Deck to hand. So, Curse of Diabell triggers to search for Philias Diabell. Activate Philias Diabell which adds a Level 8 or higher Diabell monster from Deck to your hand. Use this to add Diabellstar the Sin Adjudicator to hand. Now, you have Sin Adjudicator in hand as well as 2 Spells and 1 Trap in GY. Banish a Spell and a Trap to Special Summon Sin Adjudicator. It's a simple combo, and it doesn't use up your Normal Summon. As for the Synchro Tuners you can Summon off of Sin Adjudicator, the best monsters to Summon are Silvera, Wolf Tamer of the White Forest, Rciela, Sinister Soul of the White Forest, and Mystic Mystery of the White Forest.
- Silvera, on Special Summon, changes all face-up monsters your opponent controls to face-down Defense Position, and she boosts your Illusion and Spellcasters by 500 ATK while also giving them double piercing damage.
- Rciela, on Special Summon, can send a Spell/Trap from hand or field to the GY to search for a White Forest card or a LIGHT Spellcaster monster (i.e. Effect Veiler). She also boosts your Illusion and Spellcasters by 500 ATK and prevents them from being destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
- The only effect of Mystic Mystery that we are able to use is its Quick Synchro Effect, but that allows us to Synchro with either White Witch or Sin Adjudicator into Snake-Eyes Execute Dragon which has an effect during the Main Phase to Quick Effect target a face-up monster on the field or in the GY and place it face-up in its owner's Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell. Also, it can Quick Effect target and pop a Continuous Spell and a monster on field during the Battle Phase.
Because the Diabellze and Diabellstar line does not use your Normal Summon, we can pretty much play anything for that slot. You could play Silvy of the White Forest to be able to have 3 more copies of Witches of the White Forest to search for White Witch while also playing Regenesis cards, but I think that sucks. Here, I am playing Invoked with Aleister the Invoker as my Normal Summon. It's solid in terms of interruption and follow-up options while not taking up too much Main Deck space. Note that Invoked Mechaba also insulates your Diabellze/Diabellstar half of your Deck from a potential piece of interruption or it can bait out interaction to ensure that part of your Deck is safe from handtraps.
For the Main Deck: 3 Diabellze the White Witch, 1 Diabellstar the Sin Adjudicator, and 3 Aleister the Invoker. We play 3 White Witch because we want to see her. However, we only play 1 Sin Adjudicator, not because we don't want to draw her (it's fine if we do draw her), but you don't really need more than 1 copy as she can Special Summon herself from both hand or GY. Also, you aren't first Summoning her from your GY, so she is protected from the like of Bystials and whatnot during your set-up combo. For the handtraps: 3 Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, 3 Droll & Lock Bird, 3 Mulcharmy Fuwalos, and 2 Mulcharmy Purulia. I've decided to start putting Mulcharmies in my Decklists since Stampede has brought their price down by a decent amount. They are still expensive, but somewhat more managable than before.
For the Spell/Traps: 2 Invocation. 3 Magical Meltdown. 3 Witches of the White Forest. On activation, it can search for a White Forest monster from Deck, but it prevents you from Special Summoning DARK monsters from your Extra Deck for the rest of this turn. It also prevents your White Forest monsters from being destroyed by battle for the first time each turn, and it allows you to target a White Forest monster and treat it as a Tuner for the turn. The lock is not an issue as you are mainly not going to be Summoning any DARK monsters from the Extra Deck. Maybe only an S:P or a TY-PHON in certain situations going second, but you only need to activate the Field Spell if you didn't draw White Witch. The battle protection isn't too relevant, and unless you are making Ultimaya Tzolkin (which you literally can't if you previously searched for a White Forest monster), you aren't using that effect. 1 Terraforming. 1 Triple Tactics Talent and 2 Triple Tactics Thrust. 1 Crossout Designator and 1 Called by the Grave. 1 Philias Diabell which adds a Level 8 or higher Diabell monster from Deck to hand, or if only your opponent controls a monster, you can Special Summon it instead. And if it is banished, you can boost your Diabell monsters by 500 ATK. This card is great. Drawing it is also not an issue. If you have Diabellze access and you open this card, you can still do your combo fine. If you open only this, you can use it to search for White Witch and use her effect to get you to a Sinful Spoils of Slumber - Morrian which I will explain momentarily. 1 Curse of Diabell which if you control 2 or more Diabell monsters, you can send a monster you control to the GY to destroy all face-up cards your opponent controls. And as previously mentioned, if it is sent to the GY or banished from hand or Deck you can search for a Diabell Spell/Trap other than it from Deck. You are only going to be sending this card to the GY and using its effect there. It's tantalizing to use its first effect, but its better used for its second effect here. 1 Sinful Spoils of Slumber - Morrian. It can target a face-up Special Summoned monster on the field and change it to face-down Defense Position. And if it is in the GY and you control a Level 5 or higher Illusion, you can set it, but banish it when it leaves the field. To further explain why opening just Philias is okay, you can use it search for Diabellze the White Witch, send a Spell/Trap to GY and Special Summon her, and then you can use her effect to send this to GY. Because White Witch is a Level 8 Illusion monster, you can set this card from GY and still have interruption. It also works if you were Drolled previously in the turn. You can just Special Summon White Witch, send this card, and then set it from GY. It's at least something rather than nothing. 3 Infinite Impermanence. And finally, 3 The Black Goat Laughs. I was originally Main Decking 3 Nibiru in place of this card, but Nibiru works better if you know you are going second while Black Goat is great if you draw it. You can either set it and use it as is or you can send it to GY to Special Summon White Witch which allows you to use its GY effect.
For the Extra Deck: 2 Invoked Mechaba which uses Aleister and a LIGHT monster. Once per turn, it can negate and banish an activated Spell/Trap Card or monster effect by sending a card of the same Card Type from your hand to the GY. 1 Invoked Augoeides which uses Aleister and Fusion Monster. If Special Summoned or if a monster is Special Summoned to your opponent's field, you can target and destroy a monster your opponent controls. Also, it can banish a Fusion from GY to boost itself by that monster's ATK until the end of your opponent's turn. 1 Invoked Purgatrio which uses Aleister and a FIRE monster. It gains 200 for each card your opponent controls, it can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each, and it deals piercing damage. 1 Elder Entity N'tss. 1 Snake-Eye Execute Dragon. 1 Silvera, Wolf Tamer of the White Forest. 1 Golden Cloud Beast - Malong. 1 Mystic Mystery of the White Forest. 1 Super Starslayer TY-PHON - Sky Crisis. 1 Mereologic Aggregator. 1 S:P Little Knight. 1 Knightmare Phoenix. 1 Salamangreat Almiraj. 1 Secure Gardna.
Side Deck: 3 Nibiru, the Primal Being, 3 Effect Veiler, 1 Triple Tactics Thrust, 3 Ultimate Slayer, 2 Lightning Storm, 1 Harpie's Feather Duster, and 2 Dimensional Barrier.
