This is a rework of the 2007 "Starter Deck Jaden Yuki". The strangest thing about this deck is the complete lack of Jaden's signature fusion monsters. Even stranger is that many of the HERO fusion cards had been released by this point. I'm guessing that their idea was to just provide a base to add on to whatever HERO cards you may have collected at that point.
Using only cards that were included in the starter deck, I cut a handful of cards that are dead draws, and improved ratios for more important cards. All the HERO cards remained at 1x as they were included to maintain the spirit of the deck. I know Avian is useless in this deck - use him as discard fodder.
Gemini Elf was bumped up to 3x - it's a fantastic normal monster if you're reliving the early 2000s formats. Rush Recklessly and Smashing Ground were both bumped up to 2x. Rush Recklessly is an underrated Quick-Play that can easily catch your opponent off guard once they think all your battle traps are taken care of. Trap Hole was bumped up to 2x as it's a no-brainer for easy removal. The rest of the trap ratios remained the same as I actually really like the lineup and it maintains the spirit of the character.
That's about all for today! Try it out against starter deck Syrus Truesdale. I'll tackle that one next.
