This is another half of a hypothetical 2-player starter deck. In this case we're merging Vendred and Pumpking in order to make some delicious zombi-slop. Vendred has a lot of potential to be loved by casual players, especially newer ones. Revendred Slayer has very strong protagonist ace-monster energy, and I can imagine a child receiving it as their first card, and having a lifelong affinity for it, the way that people feel about summoned skull and flame swordsman.
This time we're only giving 3 major hand-traps. This is designed to be a going-first deck in the context of the two that would come in the pack. It wants to end on either a rank-6 board fortified with some level 6's or go down the vendred line and end on a ritual monster and daybreak. The extra deck has some toolbox utility, but the strict adherence to zombie typing has made it slightly less varied that I'd like. In truth I'm not fully happy with the extra deck and may be more satisfied with a wider range of tools.
The intended feeling for the person who gets this deck is that they are the "protagonist" of their own duel story. We should theme the materials to treat player-1 like an edgy anti-hero and really get them into the character that fits Revendred Slayer.
Something that I think is unfortunate is that that approach makes the deck slightly less valuable as a teaching tool. The lack of tech cards from out-of-archetype and non-engine may be an issue for a starter kit that's meant to teach the game to a brand new player. I'm unsure. Let me know what you think.

In this case, in addition to the obvious trinkets that should be included with any 2-player starter kit (dice, deck boxes, playmat, etc) this one would require a bit more... explaination. Vendred and S-Force are not easily recognizable faces the way that Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes are. It would definitely be stretching the production costs of the product, but it would be extremely important, in my opinion, to bundle it with 2 short manga booklets that explain the story or lore of the archetypes in question. We want to build a connection between the players and the characters. They should be made to feel that their choice of one of the decks in this box reflects something about who they are as a person. Casual players seldom choose decks because of raw power. They latch on to decks that aren't competitively viable because something about that deck speaks to them as a person. We need to give both decks a chance to do that. We shouldn't treat them like they're just game pieces. Redoer and Slayer should be thought of as representations of the people playing them.
