This is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh deck of all time.
What was once a casual normal monster exhibition deck used to teach people the way the game is played for each new extra deck mechanic added to the game - turned into a tightly fitted control deck that uses normal monsters and a Primite engine to its absolute maximum ability. Understanding why the sideboard has a bunch of normal monsters in it as well as the actual decklist is what it is, requires you - the player - to understand key elements of the game that are often overlooked in the modern Yu-Gi-Oh space - as well as understanding what kind of deck that the opponent is playing.
DISCLAIMER
In order to play this deck well, you have to read the types and elements of your opponent's deck, and accomidate the sideboard accordingly. This deck's power comes from utilizing the complete chromatic spectrum of elements to undermine your opponent's board state.
There are 2 of each Attribute in the deck. There are just as many attributes in the Sideboard, and every single type is also different for maximum diversity. The sheer level of diversity in this deck with seemingly incoherent normal monsters is where the deck is secretly most powerful.
The three main beneficiaries of this come from Primite Imperial Dragon, Primite Lordly Lode and Primite Dragon Nether Berzelius.
--- Primite Imperial Dragon is a quick-play board wipe and mass negate depending on what type and attributes are in the grave.
--- Primite Lordly Lode buffs all normal monsters and Primite monsters by 300x [each normal monster with a different name]
--- Primite Dragon Nether Berzelius shuts down all Link monster counts depending on how many normal monsters are in the grave.
The following Monster types for Primite Imperial Dragon's effect to trigger and target are as follows - all elements are covered:
Dragon ------------------------ Fiend ----------------------- Machine
Warrior ------------------------ Fairy ------------------------ Thunder
Aqua --------------------------- Dinosaur ------------------ Spellcaster
Winged Beast --------------- Plant ------------------------ Psychic
Depending on your match-up, adjust your sideboard accordingly.
The deck's main core takes care of the rest and remains static - all of which is intended and functions around Lvs 3 / 6 / 9
Each monster has been carefully researched to be put in this deck for maximum synergy.
There are 11 one-card starters in this deck.
There are 10 spot removal cards. All spot removals are reusable every turn.
There are 3 Hand Traps - That same hand trap also is a board wipe - and can be searched out by the Primite support.
There are 4 Floodgates. All of them traps.
Draco Masters of the Tenyi is the Raigeki of the deck.
Lightstorm Dragon is your Harpie's Feather Duster.
First of the Dragons / First of the Dragonlords are your nigh-unbeatable walls that cannot be destroyed by battle by effect monsters and are unaffected by monster effects.
