Dimonno Vaalmonica is a light fiend, so the Vaalmonica archetype pairs well with a Fiendsmith engine! This engine provides enough monster material to summon Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess to protect your Vaalmonica plays or Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal to send any card from your deck to the graveyard!
The Standard Fiendsmith Combo
This combo only requires Fiendsmith Engraver in your hand and does not use your normal summon.
1. Activate Fiendsmith Engraver's effect to discard himself to search for Fiendsmith's Tract.
2. Activate Fiendsmith's Tract to search for and discard Fabled Lurrie.
3. Lurrie activates his effect to special summon himself because he was discarded.
4. Link summon Fiendsmith's Requiem by using Lurrie as material.
5. Activate Fiendsmith's Requiem's effect to special summon another Fiendsmith Engraver from the deck.
6. Revive Fiendsmith Engraver in your graveyard with his own effect by shuffling Lurrie back into your deck.
7. Link summon Fiendsmith's Sequence by using your Fiendsmith Engravers as material.
8. Activate Fiendsmith's Sequence effect to fusion summon Fiendsmith's Lacrima by shuffling 1 Fiendsmith Engraver and Fiendsmith's Requiem from your graveyard back in the deck and extra deck.
9. Activate Lacrima's effect to revive the Fiendsmith Engraver from your graveyard.
Your board now consists of Fiendsmith's Sequence, Fiendsmith Engraver, Fiendsmith's Lacrima, and Fiendsmith's Tract in your graveyard that can be used for the summon of Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess, Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal, or Fiendsmith's Desirae.
The Ideal Vaalmonica Combo
One of the best Vaalmonica end boards is Zebufera, Vaalmonican Hallow Heathen, Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir, Vaalmonica, the Agathokakological Voice (will sometimes be referred to as The Agatha Voice in this guide), and a set Vaalmonica Followed Rhythm. To achieve this you'll need to start with The Agatha Voice, Vaalmonica Scelta, and Selettrice Vaalmonica in your hand.
1. Activate the Vaalmonica, the Agathokakological Voice to search for Angello Vaalmonica.
2. Activate Angello's effect to set up your pendulum scales by discarding Selettrice.
3. Activate Selettrice's graveyard effect to add herself back to the hand.
4. Normal summon Selettrice and activate her effect to search for Vaalmonica Invitare.
5. Activate Scelta to take damage and to search for either Vaalmonica Disarmonia or Vaalmonica Versare. The other one will be searched for later.
6. Activate Invitare to add another Angello to your hand and Dimonno Vaalmonica to your extra deck. You generally want Dimonno in the extra deck because she can copy Scelta's search effect.
7. Pendulum summon Angello and Dimonno from the hand and extra deck.
8. Activate Dimonno's effect to banish Scelta from the graveyard. Take damage and search for Disarmonia or Versare, the one you don't currently have.
9. Activate Versare to take damage and send Vaalmonica Followed Rhythm to the graveyard.
10. Activate Disarmonia to place 1 resonance counter on the Angello in the pendulum scale and take damage to add the Followed Rhythm from the graveyard to your hand.
11. Activate Angello's effect to banish Disarmonia from the graveyard. Gain life points and add Scelta from the banished zone back to your hand. It's time for some extra deck plays now that there's 2 counters on the pendulum scaled Angello and 3 counters on the pendulum scaled Dimonno.
12. Xyz summon Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir by using Angello and Selettrice as material.
13. Link summon Zebufera, Vaalmonican Hallow Heathen by using Dimonno as material.
14. Set the Followed Rhythm.
Your end board is now Zebufera, Vaalmonican Hallow Heathen, Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir, Vaalmonica, the Agathokakological Voice, a Vaalmonica Followed Rhythm, and a Vaalmonica Scelta in your hand for the follow up. The Agatha Voice can take an opponent's monster when you gain life points. Zebufera can protect all your cards from battle or destruction with his continuous effect. If you keep 3 or more counters on either pendulum scales then you can summon Zebufera or Duralume, Vaalmonican Heathen Hallow on the opponent's turn with Angello Vaalmonica's pendulum effect.
Sole Dimonno into Beatrice Combo
A normal summoned Dimonno can summon Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal in a pinch.
1. Normal summon Dimonno Vaalmonica.
2. Link summon Fiendsmith's Requiem by using Dimonno as material.
3. Activate Fiendsmith's Requiem's effect to tribute itself to special summon Fiendsmith Engraver from the deck.
4. Activate Fiendsmith's Requiem's graveyard effect to equip itself to Fiendsmith Engraver.
5. Summon Necroquip Princess by sending Fiendsmith Engraver and his equip to the graveyard.
6. Revive Fiendsmith Engraver by using his graveyard effect to shuffle Fiendsmith's Requiem back into the extra deck.
From here, you can special summon Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal by using Fiendsmith Engraver and Necroquip Princess as material. An alternative rank 6 that this deck can play is D/D/D Wave High King Caesar, who can negate and destroy opponent's potential special summon effects such as Nibiru, the Primal Being, Original Sinful Spoils - Snake-Eye, or Big Welcome Labrynth.
Selettrice + Set Scales Backup Plan
This combo requires Selettrice Vaalmonica, Angello Vaalmonica or Dimonno Vaalmonica, and another card in your hand. It grants access to the standard Fiendsmith combo in emergencies where your standard Vaalmonica combo can't resolve properly.
1. Activate Angello Vaalmonica or Dimonno Vaalmonica's effect to set the pendulum scales by discarding any card but Selettrice Vaalmonica.
2. Normal summon Selettrice.
3. Link summon Artemis, the Magistus Moon Maiden by using Selettrice as material.
4. Because you have 2 Vaalmonica cards in your pendulum zones, you can activate Selettrice's effect to add herself back to your hand.
5. Pendulum summon Selettrice.
6. Link summon Moon of the Closed Heaven by using Artemis and Selettrice as material.
7. Because Moon of the Closed Heaven is a light fiend, you can use her as material for link summoning Fiendsmith's Requiem.
The rest of this combo follows the same steps in The Standard Fiendsmith Combo. It's not ideal, but with it you can set up a floodgate with Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal and Angel of Blue Tears and add another Selettrice Vaalmonica to your hand if you send her to the graveyard on the opponent's turn. There's more on the floodgates in the following section.
Some Beatrice Synergies
Angel of Blue Tears can banish itself from the graveyard to set a normal trap from your hand or deck to your field if either player takes effect damage. It's useful for setting up a floodgate, such as Dimensional Barrier or Different Dimension Ground on the opponent's turn, and the Vaalmonica cards and Fiendsmith's Lacrima can easily trigger its graveyard effect.
The Black Goat Laughs is another floodgate that also has a graveyard effect that prevents either player from activating a declared monster's name effects on the field for the rest of the turn.
Some Tips
Summon S:P Little Knight to protect your board if you suspect that the opponent has Nibiru, the Primal Being.
If your opponent successfully resolves Nibiru then you can convert the token into a Link Spider, which can then be used as link material for Zebufera, Vaalmonican Hallow Heathen.
Vaalmonica Versare and Artemis, the Magistus Moon Maiden can send Selettrice Vaalmonica to the graveyard in a pinch.
Be careful about using Vaalmonica Invitare's first effect, as it restricts your field to using only Vaalmonica monster effects for the rest of the turn. A card like Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir will be unaffected though, because his effects are continuous.
