Broad Catagories:
This strategy builds upon 3 simple strategies:
This strategy is why the deck has 90% boardbreakers.
Primary Packages: Evil★Twin, Fiendsmith
Recommended Guides: (3 boardbreaking effects)
Boardbreaking Guides: (4-5 boardbreaking effects)
What do we want our Deckmaster to do? Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost
- One Card Fiendsmith and Live Twin Combo (1 Negate and 1 Removal endboard)
- Inherent Summon (when Evil★Twin Lil-la is on board)
- Card Advantage through GY effect
Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost fills several important roles in this deck, namely card advantage and combo starter. Through the existance of Evil★Twin Ki-sikil Deal as a LIGHT//FIEND, Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost easily accesses the Fiendsmith combo line and the Evil★Twin combo lines. This is done by using Evil★Twin Ki-sikil Deal to send/summon Live☆Twin Lil-la Sweet then resummoning Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost in order to obtain enough resources to climb into Evil★Twin's Trouble Sunny. In between the combo, Evil★Twin Ki-sikil Deal can be linked into Fiendsmith's Requiem in order to access Fiendsmith's Desirae.
Once in the Graveyard, Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost can be banished in order to draw us a card, condtitional upon an opponent searching their deck for a card. This card draw, in combination with the draw from Evil★Twin Ki-sikil, forms the core of our card advantage throughout the game.
However, there are some weaknesses of note:
- AQUA Domain is not well utilized.
- Weakness to Removal, which stops all combo attempts.
- Pays Deckmaster Cost twice as part of the core combo.
- Comparison to Live☆Twin Ki-sikil, which plays through Nibiru, the Primal Being better for the cost of more main deck space.
Of the combo itself, we aim to be stable and hindered very little by non-removal interruption. This is due to the ability of our combo to put out an interruption even with only one Evil★Twin Ki-sikil or Fiendsmith's Requiem. Additionally the effect of Evil★Twin Ki-sikil Deal makes chaining an interruption to any Ki-sikil or Lil-la draw us a card.
Our biggest weakness is the destruction of Evil★Twin Ki-sikil Deal before it can send Live☆Twin Lil-la Sweet . This is deadly because it would render the deck completely incapable of combo until it is able to get a second monster on board (very rare because the deck is 80% spells and traps) to link into Evil★Twin Ki-sikil for Fiendsmith's Requiem .
Defuse with Quick-Plays!
Stage Note: “Improv time! Slice openings in their board before the real show hits.”
- Remove, Negate, and Steal your path through an opponent's board!
- Set unused quick-plays as interruptions!
Quick-Plays in this decklist were handpicked to either remove or negate monsters. Their role is to open the way for our more powerful boardbreakers through negating or threatening to destroy the interruptions our opponents present on their board. The strategy is to overwhelm using quantity, defusing an opponent's board until they can no longer stop a Raigeki from coming down and destroying everything.
Quick-Play defusing strategy should often be combined with support from our Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost combo, which can easily eat multiple negation interruptions while still putting out a respectable board. In order to facilitate this, it is recommended to target down the pieces of an opponent's board that serve as removal rather than negation, due to the weakness that the Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost has if immediatly removed upon normal summon.
Conditional Quick-plays:
Emphasis was put on Quick-Plays rather than more plentiful Normal Spells due to the ability of Quick-Plays to serve as interruptions when set. Additionally they are useful as a way to chain-block any effects an ally may need to resolve.
Detonate with Boardwipes!
Stage Note: “The board explodes. Spotlights flash. Opponents can only watch.”
- Resolve a Raigeki effect to break boards!
- Have allies chain-block Raigeki or Torrentials to ensure they resolve.
- Must remove their board so they can't threaten us next turn!
Modern Yu-gi-Oh boards are absolutely fraudulant. Often they can boast 5-6 repeatable interruptions at minimum in addition to generate resources every turn, and most definetly should NOT be allowed to stay on the board for a full rotation of 4 turns! Once our defusing Quick-Plays pave the way for us to freely acitvate effects and combo, we aim to break our oppoent's resources and board fully through the use of the most powerful boardbreakers at our disposal. These cards, like Raigeki, Dark Hole, and Lightning Storm will put their cards into the Graveyard and fully end their reign of terror. This ensures that we have set the stage for our own Fiendsmith's Desirae and Evil★Twin's Trouble Sunny endboard to domainate the game without fear of having them removed from through effects from that opponent the next turn.
However there will be cases where we are not able to resolve these boardbreakers, and they are eatten with a negation alongside the negations used for our other quick-plays. In this case, we are still able to clean up boards using the 3 boardbreaking effects present in our Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost combo (https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=889807-75982530 or https://www.duelingbook.com/replay?id=889807-75983258). These 3 boardbreaking effects are: Evil★Twin Lil-la, Fiendsmith Engraver, and Fiendsmith's Desirae GY effect. If you are willing to weaken your endboard, you may also be able to use Evil★Twin's Trouble Sunny GY effect and Evil★Twins Ki-sikil & Lil-la effect on summon as additional boardbreaking effects.
In the case we are fully unsuccessful, we lean into boardbreaking through the use of Trap Boardwipes. These are cards like Torrential Tribute, Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon, and Brutal Beast Battle which are able to be activated on an opponent's turn. The person next in rotation to us likely will have as much of an incentive to break the problematic opponent's board as we did, and will asisst us as an ally. Simply have that new ally activate a quick effect in response to your boardwiping Torrential Tribute effect! This will block out the ability of the problematic opponent to chain a negation effect to that boardwiping trap due to "chain-blocking", and will simply wipe clean most boards even if they had multiple negations active.
Conditional Boardwipes:
Devestate with Grindgame!
Stage Note: “Encore time. Keep the pressure. Recycle, revive, repeat.”
- Fiendsmith's Lacrima, Lacrima the Crimson Tears, and Fiendsmith's Agnumday revive our LIGHT//FIEND
- Evil★Twin Ki-sikil and Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost draw card
Many Yu-gi-oh decks have their most powerful turn the first time they combo, but steeply fall off a cliff once that board is broken. This is even more relevent in Domain Format, where the singleton nature of the format axes many follow-up and grindgame plans. However, this deck aims to act as a contrast to that through the use of the stable Fiendsmith engine, whose power remains steady though low-to-the-ground. The use of this engine, accessed through a one-card-combo with our deckmaster Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost, will combat through the weakened combos our opponents may have.
The Fiendsmith engine recycles itself and works well in singleton, putting out a combo very easily through the use of Fiendsmith's Requiem and Fiendsmith's Sequence. These cards additionally provide boardbreaking effects through Fiendsmith's Desirae and Fiendsmith Engraver to make sure our opponents will not be able to stick anything on board.
The second half of Fiendsmith focuses on revival. Lacrima the Crimson Tears combined with Fiendsmith's Agnumday makes it necessary to remove Fiendsmith's Desirae twice to keep it off the board. Fiendsmith's Lacrima is powerful in its ability to revive Evil★Twin's Trouble Sunny even from banish (where Evil★Twin's Trouble Sunny will be after using its boardbreaking effect).
The second half of our grindgame is our card advantage. Evil★Twin Ki-sikil draws a card on summon, which is easily able to be done on an opponent's turn through the use of Evil★Twin's Trouble Sunny. Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost can banish itself to draw a card when our oppoennt searches their deck. Because we return Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost to our Deckmaster Zone every time, we are able to obtain card advantage over and over again. Combined, we draw an upwards of 3 additional cards every rotation. Recall the main deck is full of boardbreakers and negates, so those drawn cards also contribute to the devestation!

Strategy Elevator Pitch: Strike fast, shut it down, never stop.
"The Devil's Channel" uses an overwhelming amount of boardbreakers to dismantle enemy boards and then secure long-term advantage. The Deckmaster, Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost, serves as both a combo starter and card advantage engine, linking into the Fiendsmith and Evil★Twin lines to access removal, negation, and draw power. First, carefully chosen Quick-Play spells pick apart enemy interruptions and open the way for stronger plays, often doubling as defensive traps when set. Next, we unleash Raigeki-style boardwipes and leverage both spell-based and combo-embedded boardbreaking effects to eliminate threats completely, even relying on trap wipes like Torrential Tribute if needed. Finally, the recursive Fiendsmith engine and repeated Evil★Twin draws ensure consistent pressure and card advantage in a singleton format where opponents’ follow-up tends to collapse. Altogether, the strategy is about repeatedly breaking boards, stabilizing with engines that recycle and revive, and slowly burying the opponent under waves of removal and advantage.
Hands on the prize, lights on the lies.
