Drytron took a massive hit losing two essential combo pieces. Union Carrier was banned which was a search for the whole deck and Cyber Angel Benten was limited which gave the deck endless resources. Now that those cards are out of the picture Drytron are mid-tier but still very playable and still competitive.
Drytron can still break dragon link and virtual world boards and can keep up with the meta. Now that Cyber Angel Benten and Union Carrier are either banned or limited there are now new combos. With these combos you get to utilize cards like Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal, Cyber Angel Idaten, the Megalith engine, and with Drytron Mu-Beta Fafnir around the corner Drytron is still a very playable strategy.
Now with all that in mind let's get into combo Number one.
Combo Number One
For this combo need access to Cyber Angel Benten + Drytron Zeta Aldhibah
but this can change depending on your hand.
Use Drytron Zeta Aldhibah effect in the hand to discard Cyber Angel Benten
then add Meteonis Drytron and Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands with the effect of Cyber Angel Benten and Drytron Zeta Aldhibah. Normal summon Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands adding Megalith Phul to hand. Using Meteonis Drytron summon Megalith Phul (tribute Zeta) triggering the effect to add back Cyber Angel Benten.
(Now Megalith Phul will become level 6 because of its effect). Activate Megalith Phul’s effect discard Cyber Angel Benten to summon Megalith Ophiel from deck triggering its effect to add another Megalith Phul to hand also Cyber Angel Benten effect to add Cyber Angel Idaten to hand. Use Megalith Ophiel effect to summon Cyber Angel Idaten from hand using itself and Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands.
The summon of Idaten will trigger its effect adding back to hand Meteonis Drytron.
Overlay Megalith Phul and Cyber Angel Idaten for Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal.
Activate Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal effect detaching Cyber Angel Idaten then sending one monster to GY. I’ll choose Drytron Alpha Thuban (because I have no Herald of Perfection in hand or GY, but the card can change depending on your hand) when Drytron Alpha Thuban is sent to GY activate its effect discard the Megalith Phul in hand to summon the Drytron Alpha Thuban back which will trigger its effect to search Herald of Perfection adding it to hand. Use the Meteonis Drytron to summon Cyber Angel Idaten back from GY triggering her effect to search Dawn of the Herald. Then use Dawn of the Herald tributing off Cyber Angel Idate to summon the Herald of Perfection. When Dawn of the Herald and Cyber Angel Idate are sent to GY it triggers their effects. Chain link one Cyber Angel Idate, chain link two Dawn of the Herrald. Cyber Angel Idate will increase the stats of all ritual monster you control, and Dawn will add Idaten back to the hand for another negate. Now during your opponent's turn when you use your Idate negate (or Herald sending it to GY to negate) Quick effect Beatrice detaches one material to send Eva to GY triggering its effect to banish up to 2 other LIGHT Fairy monsters from your field and/or GY; add the same number of Level 2 or lower LIGHT Fairy monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand. Add Cyber Petit Angel and Herald of Orange Light.
Herald of Perfection is an omni negate and will negate up to the amount of fairy monsters in hand, from this you will get 3 but most likely you will have more in hand adding to the amount of negates. This Combo will change depending on your hand it will end on better if you have the correct cards for example having Megalith Phul on field so that you can go into Megalith Bethor which can be up to three pops or more.
Combo Number Two
If you open Drytron Zeta Aldhibah + Drytron Alpha Thuba (or anything similar it depends on your hand) that is also full combo but a little bit better. One can make I:P Masquerena which can become an Underworld Goddess of the Closed World (when you use up all your negates) which is a kaiju, dark ruler no more, and a negate built into one card or Knightmare Unicorn.
This combo is very similar to the last one, so I am going to speed things up a little
For this combo you need on field Drytron Alpha Thuban, Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands, Megalith Phul, Cyber Angel Idaten. (To get this, Aphla sending Zeta to GY searching Benten then use Zeta effect in GY discard the Benten and serach for Meteonis Drytron and the rest Is just combo number one). On summon Cyber Angel Idaten effect adding Meteonis Drytron. Overlay Megalith Phul and Cyber Angel Idaten for Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal activate effect detach Cyber Angel Idaten, sending Drytron Gamma Eltanin to GY. Activate Meteonis Drytron tributing the Alpha and or Zeta on field to summon Cyber Angel Benten back from GY. Drytron Gamma Eltanin effect in the GY, send Cyber Angel Benten from field to GY to summon itself. Cyber Angel Benten effect in GY searching Herald of Perfection and Gamma effect to summon back a Drytron monster from grave. (You can choose any). Use Meteonis Drytron target Drytron Gamma Eltani to get it back to hand, Now use Meteonis Drytron tribute a Drytron monster (could be any) to summon back from Cyber Angel Idaten, search for Dawn of the Herald. Use Dawn of the Herald tributing Cyber Angel Idate to summon Herald of Perfection. When Dawn and Idate are sent to GY chain link one Idaten, chain link 2 Dawn adding Idaten back to hand. Now using the two extra Drytron monsters to summon anything you want to IP, Verte, or any link 2
Combo Credit to Rampengu Nation
Now these combos will change depending on your hand most of the time for the better, so I encourage you to play around with it. I personally think that Drytron is much more fun now but also much weaker to hand traps. Droll, Forbidden Droplet, Dark Ruler, and cards like those end your turn and break you board just like before.
