Draft deck made during a draft tournament with some friends. First pick was Thunder King Rai-Oh and from there tried to build out a kinda lockdown/Reasoning type deck with a lot of focus on cards that would help me keep Rai-Oh on the board, lock down the field, would be easy to summon out / were beaters, or would help with generating card advantage.
Favorite moments during the duels were:
- setting 4 backrow + morphing jar first turn and my opponent attacking into morphing jar with a nearly full hand
- actually getting to use Goddess of Sweet Revenge by baiting a negate with a set book of moon leaving me with an empty field and one card (Goddess) left in hand
- Trap Stun actually winning me a duel after I chained it to an opponent's battle trap
Funny enough, Gentlemander and Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon ended up kinda being the GOATs of this build because I kept drawing into them and they both acted as great "hand traps" with Gentlemander acting as great battle protection and dragon acting as an easy to summon out beater.
