Dinomorphia aka The Half Deck is a deck that will half your life for powerful Trap cards and Monster Effects. First the Main Deck. It is a control deck that is highly corrosive and able to grind for time if needed.
The Monsters
The main monster in the deck is Dinomorphia Therizia which sets any Dinomorphia trap from deck to the field. In which you would set Dinomorphia Frenzy and if you already have Frenzy or Domain(Another less powerful Frenzy) you can set any trap needed according to the current game state. The other Main Deck monster, Dinomorphia Diplos which sends a Dinomorphia trap to the grave to be used for their second effects, be able to recycle itself and Therizia, and or be used with Kentregina. Both cards float upon destruction by banishing a any trap from GY. Now the supporting cards.
- Lord of the Heavenly Prison - To protect your traps and to help set up for next turn if SS(Both it and Ultimate Conductor can be used for an xyz monster)
- Miscellaneousaurus - To ensure the activation of your Main Monsters
- Ultimate Conductor Tyranno - A great last resort and Boss Monster if all else goes wrong(Both it and Heavenly Prison can be used for an xyz monster)
- Flowerdino - An extender and a way to recycle traps and get an extra Special Summon
The Spells
There are very few spells and great alternative spells that can be included. Fossil Dig is a great way to search your Dinomorphia Monsters and if you already have one, to search Misc to ensure they cant be negated. Pot of Extravagance to draw cards and set up for your opponents turn. Then Called By the Grave because in a format with loads of Handtraps you need to be able to stop them. Great alternatives and inclusions are
- Pot of Prosperity(Other good draw card)
- Pot of Duality(Also a good draw card)
The Traps
Dinomorphia is a heavily Trap reliant deck to be able to control the game. Cards like Dinomorphia Frenzy and
Dinomorphia Domain. Frenzy is to make Rexstrum and Domain to Make Kentregina and then use its effect to make Rexstrum. Dinomorphia Brute, which is a non-targeting destruction that destroys your Dinomorphia and one card on their field(Which Dinomorphia is the easy winner cause it can float endlessly) Dinomorphia Shell, which is a way to stop your opponent from attacking a low Atk Kentregina or Rexstrum by having the opponent have to attack it first. Also it can be used in pair with Brute for a destruction(Though there wont be a floating effect). Dinomorphia Sonic, which is just a Spell/Trap negate and destruction. Lastly Dinomorphia Alert, which Special Summons two Dinomorphia monsters from your GY. As well, all Dinomorphia Traps have a secondary effect to stop a dangerous situation with burn and attack damage. Shell and Sonic for Battle damage, and Domain, Frenzy, Brute, and Alert for Effect damage. Other traps include.
- The Solemn cards, which lessens your life more for more negates
- Hope for Escape, which is a great card for drawing more cards later in the game when your life is extremely low
- Skill Drain, oppressive floodgate that lowers your life by 1000
- Ferret Flames, a great card that bounces all monsters from the field until the combined attack is less then your life point(aka all of them later in the round)
Extra Deck
The Extra Deck is the place everyone will be different because there are so many diverse and good ways to make it, but everyone can agree that three Dinomorphia Rexstrum and Dinomorphia Kentregina is mandatory. Rexsturm is the best card in the deck and is your main card to get out. Rexsturm is a walking Skill Drain on legs that hits like a small planet(Hehe Hope for Escape planet joke ahahahahahahaha). All monsters with less or equal attack to your life points are negated on the field, so DPE and Dragoon are useless and just there. To help be able to use the effect, it has a second effect to half your life to make the attack of all monsters on the field equal to your life which can be used to otk and or to negate the entire field. Dinomorphia Kentregina is a monster that halfs your life to imitate a trap in the GY by banishing it. It has a base attack of 4000, but it never will have 4000 attack. How it works is that it loses attack up to your life points, so if you have 4000 Life points it has 0 attack, 2000 Life points it has 2000 attack, and so on. Dinomorphia Stealthbergia, which makes it so if your Life points are under 2000 trap cards that cost life no longer cost life to use, so Solem Strike and Skill Drain can be activated even if you dont have enough Life points to activate it. Stealthbergia can be at any card limit, but two is the most reasonable in my opinion. The rest of the Extra deck is heavily customizable. In my list the Extra Deck monster are.
- Evolzar Dolkka, which is a great Monster negate and destruction.
- Evolzar Laggia, which is a great Spell negate and destruction.
- Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max, which is a way to get game(EVERYONE WOULD KNOW IT WAS A JOKE. COWBOY FOR GAME IS FOR THE PAST, WE ALL KNOW STALLING FOR TIME AND GUSTAV FOR GAME IS THE NEW ERA).
- Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe, a big monster to put on Gustav Max for otks.
- Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder, a way to just wipe boards after attacking with any of the xyz monsters
- Knightmare Phoenix, a Spell/Trap removal cause you could never have enough removal cards.
Yet just cause I use these cards doesnt mean you have too. Other great Extra deck Monsters include
- Abyss Dweller
- Diagusto Emeral
- Number 101: Silent Honor ARK
- Tornado Dragon
- Number 35: Ravenous Tarantula
- Number 81: Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Super Dora
There is probably more but those are the ones I considered the most when deck building.
For all those who did read this Thank you and I hope you have as much fun with this deck as I will. If you wanna support me I have a Twitch and YouTube and I might start streaming regularly and post Deck profiles and other fun videos.
