Being a fan of DM in Duel Links, I wanted to do a spin off of that and focus on consistency as much as possible, hence the 3 DM's and 3 Circles. I like to tech in cards as needed, if I'm losing a lot to one of Extra Deck Monsters, I like to get out Number 89 XYZ, which is easy to do with most of the important monsters in this deck being Level 7; so do consider adding that to the extra deck from the cards I suggested in the side deck.
Secret Village and Skill Drain adds the punch DM needs to compete on the ladder and do consider adding the Scythe package in the side deck to use with the DPE pop effect on the opponent's draw phase turn 2. Do consider adding Galaxy Tomahawk from the Side Deck to set up a powerful Link board ending on Accesscode or if your opponent doesn't have the out, the Black Luster Soldier can be kinda funny.
This deck doesn't really care that much about Maxx C and you can always try to bait out an Ash Blossom with other cards to enable your plays don't get stopped in their tracks. Upstart Goblin seems broken in this deck considering you can set up with Cirlce and Soul Servant for getting the non-DM cards you want.
Just my take on it, but I kept out The Dark Magicians Fusion monster, as I feel it doesn't do a whole lot in this build and I'd rather prioritize other extra deck options. Feel free to take out DM Girl and Eye of Timaeus if you want to add in hand traps or other tech cards, but I do like threatening my opponents board with setting up Dark Buring Magic, which provides a nice non-targeting removal option effectively.
I kept Illusion Magic in the deck because sometimes you just want to search it with Rod to get 1-2 DM's since we're playing them and let's face it, not every hand can be great and we often open with bricks in the starting hand...Brick Magician is a real thing, but when it gets going, there are few decks more fun and let's face it, it's probably the best anime deck ever.
