I've pulled a critical amount of Mathmech cards from selection pack, Mighty Contenders so I thought now is the time for me to create a guide about our favourite digital combo deck! Due to the recent release of the "Firewall" support and Masterduel's very lenient attitude towards Cyberse last banlist (only brought Diameter to 1 rather than Circular), I feel that Cyberse Mathmech is well positioned to be a ladder deck of choice for 2024!
Over the years, the Cyberse type in Yu-Gi-Oh has amassed support for various in-theme archetypes, most notably Mathmech, Code Talker and Firewall. Now in 2024, all the strongest Cyberse archetypes can come together to create an powerful amalgamation similar to Dragonlink and Plantlink - Cyberse Mathmech!
From 1-2 cards, this strategy ends on a ridiculously insane amount of interruptions, resources and follow-up while packing lots of extra space for staples. Yusaku (aka Playmaker's) deck from VRAINS definitely has reached it's peak potential - and now it's all available in Masterduel so you can climb to the very top of ladder!

ARCHETYPES AND DECKBUILDING
Cyberse Mathmech is a monstrous pile of synergistic Cyberse cards and their associated support.
The biggest archetype present is MATHMECH, composed of 11 cards. The centerpiece of the Mathmech cards is the unbelievably strong Mathmech Circular, which represents full combo for this deck just by itself. Addition, Subtraction and Equation are all extenders so the pilot can make a stronger than usual board, or to play through interruption. Finally, Multiplication is a target to be sent from deck to GY by Firewall Dragon Terahertz, bringing the boss monster to 11000 ATK!
Generic CYBERSE SUPPORT cards number 9 cards. The Firewall package involves 4 cards - Firewall Defenser as the normal summon and Firewall Guardian as the target to summon from deck. They constantly summon more link material to the field so that the duelist can link climb during their plays. x3 Parallel Exceed is included since it makes an easy rank 4 as long as you have a link zone on field, which is typically Alembertian so it can search Circular and you can full combo from there. x2 Cynet Mining is included to search any Cyberse monster.
Since the strategy is extremely consistent, a large portion of the deck is composed of STAPLE cards. First, the mandatory "Maxx C" package is included to counter the ever dominant card of Masterduel's meta - there exists 8 cards that counter the insect, that being x3 Ash Blossom, x2 Called By, x1 Crossout, and x2 Psy-Frame Gear Gamma. x3 Small World is included since it searches every card in the deck! This card can search Mathmech Circulr so you can full combo, or even Ash Blossom so you can insulate your plays vs. an opponent's Maxx "C."
COMBOS AND GAMEPLAN
Cyberse Mathmech functions as a combo deck that fields 2-3 negates, draw 2, multiple non-targeting removals, and a handloop for 1 card while allowed to fully combo going first. This deck features many one card starters, and ways to search your 1-card starter (2 level 4s -> Alembertian -> Mathmech Circular). Even if this deck is interrupted, this strategy has so many extenders that it can shrug off weaker handtraps with ease. Cyberse Mathmech can also OTK on a dime with an Accesscode Talker that can attack twice (totalling 8600ATK!) with as little as one card if allowed to fully combo!
The main combo of Cyberse Mathmech revolve around it's key card - Mathmech Circular (think about this card as this deck's "Branded Fusion" or "Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage"). 1 circular leads to 3 omni-negates, multiple removals, 1 handloop and follow-up/GY set-up for next turn!
Mathmech Circular = Set Mathmech Superfactorial (Summons Laplacian which is non-targeting removal of monster, S/T, and handloops 1 card + 1 omni-negate if made with Diameter), 8000ATK Firewall Dragon Darkfluid Terahertz (2 omni-negates by sending Desavewurm and Mereologic Aggregator to GY) + follow-up.
- Activate Circular's effect in hand to summon itself by sending to GY Sigma.
- Summon Sigma's effect in GY to summon itself.
- Activate Circular's trigger effect to search for Superfactorial from deck. If you already have it, search for Equation instead.
- XYZ summon Alembertian using Circular + Sigma. Activate Alembertian's on-summon effect to search for Diameter from deck.
- Normal summon Diameter to summon Circular from GY.
- Link summon Link Decoder using Diameter.
- Link summon Splash Mage using Circular + Alembertian.
- Summon from the GY Circular with Splash mage's effect.
- Link summon Transcode Talker using Splash Mage + Link Decoder. (Be sure to keep Transcode's link zone empty).
- Activate Link Decoder's effect to summon itself from the GY.
- Summon from the GY Splash Mage to a zone Transcode points to.
- Link summon G Golem Crystal Heart using Transcode + Link Decoder. (Be sure to keep Crystal Heart's link zone empty).
- Summon from the GY Transcode to a zone Crystal Heart points to.
- Link summon Firewall Dragon Terahertz using Splash Mage + Crystal Heart + Circular so that it is co-linked to Transcode.
- Activate Terahertz's effect to send Cyberse Desavewurm from Extra Deck to GY.
- During your opponent's turn activate Superfactorial for field removals, handrip and an omni-negate for Laplacian. During your opponent's turn, send from Extra Deck to GY Mereologic Aggregator to negate a face-up card your opponent controls.
With proper extenders, this strategy can also summon Heatsoul for a draw 2. If you feel like you've been interrupted too much or you hand isn't optimal, you can end off on Heatsoul, or Heatsoul + Transcode, depending on your situation. Opponents typically prevent you from turning on the "Mathmech" part of the interruption online like stopping you from searching Superfactorial or preventing/banishing Mathmech monsters in the GY. In those scenarios, variations of the Heatsoul, Transcode and Terahertz set-up are still very good.
Going second Cyberse Mathmech, attempts to handtrap the opponent to simplify their game state.
The amount of momentum that Circular and any extenders that the strategy gives the duelist should allow them to create Accesscode with 3-4 pops coupled with Update Jammer's double attack.
Alternatively, Terahertz can be created and summoned to the Extra Monster Zone. Terahertz can send to GY Mathmech Multiplication to give it WHOPPING 11000ATK and OTK even through a 3000ATK monster!
Even if the Cyberse Mathmech pilot cannot OTK opponent, the gamestate should be simplified enough to finish the opponent next turn. The extra link material on board can also be used to make Heatsoul so that you can draw additional resources to further handtrap your opponent and for extra follow-up next turn.
