If you don't understand the reference, there is no hope for you. It took me this long to realize that I already had the right cards to make both these archetypes consistent. Because Vijam and Crimson Nova are both fiends, Unchained don't lock you out of them, and you still get your Duza normal summon. Theoretically, if you get another level 4 on the field before Unchained locks you, you can Xyz summon. It's because of that restriction that the extra deck is so sparse. Luckily, the link-2 Knightmares are redundant and just reduce your hand in Unchained decks, so we don't need 'em.
These two archetypes work incredibly well together, and Small World just bridges the gap even more. There is new Unchained support coming out this month in Japan, and the link-2 is amazing for Cubics, but the new main deck monsters are better used in a purer deck.
I don't like the Cubic Wave/Crimson Nova otk combo because it depends entirely on your opening hand, with Cubic Spells/Traps being unsearchable, and your opponent having no Spells/Traps to just negate your combo. I just want the special summon, monster immunity, and MAD burn damage.
I don't have handtraps here because I feel that my consistency would die if I try to shoehorn them in. This deck is not constructed for competition, just playability. That is also the reason why I have no side deck. I'll leave that up to you tournament junkies. I still don't think it's bad enough to call "casual", though. If you can make space for handtraps without bricking your every opening hand, go for it and get back to me.
