The strategy for this deck is to use cards such as Planet Pathfinder and Terraforming to search for Mystic Mine, as well as using other searchers such as Pot of Duality/Extravagance/Prosperity and Left Arm Offering to gather either Mine's protection (Field Barrier and Prohibition), and the namesake burn card, Cauldron of the Old Man. Just Desserts serves well as additional burn to help speed up the process.
Additional aid to this deck in regard to protection include Droll & Lock Bird, Summon Limit and Lose 1 Turn to stop combos, and Dark Bribe to stop negation.
