A gamebreaking splashable engine has entered into the Masterduel meta - Fiendsmith! For the most part, we've seen "FTK" style combo decks like Snake-Eyes, Yubel and Tearlaments put this guy into their strategies to make a powerful endboard negate boss monsters like Desirae or D/D/D Wave High King Caesar. Fiendsmith can also increase consistency of combo decks capable making rank 6s like Beatrice or Pilgrim Reaper. I personally find that BORING!!!
What if we used Fiendsmith to power-up a low-to-the-ground control strategy? Bystial Fiendsmith takes exactly this philosophy and cracks the power up to 11! This ridiculous control strategy has TWENTY-FIVE handtraps to interrupt your opponent's plans to a standstill. It also punches back extremely hard since Bystials are naturally giant 2500ATK beatsticks and Desirae can be up to 3400ATK! If that's not enough, Accesscode Talker with 2-3 pops is easily accessible in this build, especially with Cyberse Gadget's materials in the GY.
There won't be a in-depth strategy/combo guide for this deck since it basically just all handtraps. You might think this deck is inconsistent and bricky, but it isn't! This is because the basic play is 2 monsters = full Fiendsmith combo with Moon of the Closed Heaven, and bodies are easy to get on the board with Bystials. The win condition is winning out on top during the handtrap minigame played between you and your opponent, and as your opponent watches as you out-resource them in Bystials and Fiendsmith's recursive grindgame, that's usually enough to convince them to surrender. As for Cyberse Gadget, you just summon your link-1s to make 2 bodies on-field and eventually make Moon of the Closed Heaven.

Since 10 Bystials are used in this decklist, here is a guide on when/where to handtrap common ladder match-ups optimally:
Fiendsmith - When your opponent activates Engraver in the GY to summon it, banish it with a bystial. When your opponent only has 2 materials in the GY (they're attempting to summon Lacrima) and they activate Sequence's effect to fusion summon, banish one of the fusion materials with a bystial to stop the fusion summon.
Snake-Eyes - When your opponent activates Flamberge Dragon to place I:P Masquerena in the backrow, banish it with a bystial. If you have an extra Bystial, when your opponent activate Linkuriboh's effect to summon itself from the GY, banish it with a bystial.
Yubel - When your opponent has Unchained Soul of Yama in the GY, banish it with a Bystial. When your opponent attempts to summon from the GY using Abominable Chamber of the Unchained, banish the summon target with a bystial. When your opponent attempts to summon from the GY using Opening of the Spirit Gates, banish the summon target with abystial. When you anticipate your opponent making Phantom of Yubel with their GY materials, banish it with a bystial.
White Forest - When your opponent attempts to summon either Rucia/Silvy from the GY by returning their Synchro monster to the Extra Deck, banish either with a bystial.
Azamina - When your opponent activates The Hallowed Azamina in the GY to add it back to hand by returning an Azamina fusion/Elzette Azamina back to the Extra Deck/Deck, banish the targeted Azamina with a bystial.
Branded - When the Albion monster attempts to fusion summons another monster, banish Fallen of Albaz with a Bystial. Before your opponent enters End Phase, banish their End Phase monsters in the GY (Albion, Titaniklad, Cartesia, etc.) with a bystial. Before your opponent summons Bystial Lubellion from the GY by tributing their dark dragon monster, banish it with a bystial. Banish Granguignol from the GY with a bystial.
