Budget Fairy Tail Genesys

There's been a pile deck of good spellcaster stuff brewing for years. At one point it was Pend Magician, then Endymion. Now, the new Fairy Tail support and manga Endymion cards are it.

The new Fairy Tail stuff excels at direct attacks with multiple bodies through the (sadly 10-pointed now) Fairy Tail Ball. It's also a searcher, but then so is Luna, and Matchgiru. There are few scenarios in which you'll find yourself bereft of combo pieces. The other new toys the archetype got are the fusion monsters and legit equip spell. Tails is a fusion spell, a psuedo super poly, and a recurring equip spell that nets an additional normal summon. This is to say nothing of Teller and Weaver, both of whom are killers. Teller especially is an omni, and if you can summon it with the admittedly lesser "Prince of Faires" mechanic, it can also pop stuff. Wiccat is good too, but I dunno about 10-points good. It can dump Snowwhich is good of course, but it's not broken. You're totally cool just playing one.

The Endymion stuff is an engine that can just recurr itself over and over. Regulus is good, Kingdom is fine. In the west, we're currently missing Maid Verre, who otherwise would probably get a spot over OG Genni. I'm on a budget, but if you aren't, you can also use the Magistus engine. Crowley and Spenta are good, and they open up a line with Invoked stuff. They're just crazy expensive at the moment. I'm also playing a very small Magician's Souls package for draw power. Illusion of Chaos searches it, you can send surplus copies of Kingdom of Endymion and even Tails of the Fairy Tails post-fusion effect (if you didn't use the equipped moinster as material) to draw. This is why I'm playing Awakening of the Possessed; it's an extra spell to send for Souls, but it does have utility outside of that. Anytime you summon a Fairy Tail monster, you get to draw once. It also boosts your whole board by 300 for each attribute you control, which frequently turns the direct attacks under Fairy Tail Ball nuclear.

Witchcrafter Vice-Madam is here mostly as wishful thinking, a card that'll be better when we eventually get the latest Witchcrafter support. When that happens, you can certainly lean harder into that engine. Quintet Magician doesn't always come up, but you can absolutely summon it off of Tails.
