This version of Branded is looking to set up an endboard with a Dragon Lock with Secretarion + Buster Dragon to pervent any on field monster effects and an easy Mirrorjade and/or Synchro play on the next turn. This list is harder to pilot than typical Branded, even in standard but is very potent with a very high ceiling. I'm still back and forth on my Extra for this list so we have more Extra Deck options in the side than usual.
Brining The Thunder! Fluer is here to give us an in-engine handtrap that devistates board building with a turn 0 Punishment! There is a downside that's very palpible however, a lack of Extra Deck access when you are dailed by the goat of turn 0 branded. In these cases we'll look to do set-up with Albion as our hopeful target for punishment (He'll set an Etude for a quick synchro.) On these awkward turn 2's we're looking to setup grind so they'll always be suspect and fully matchup driven.
Who's That Kaiju? Radian has a unique relationship in this list. You can send him off High-Spirits for full combo and he is DARK which helps with side decking. His intimidating 2.8k ATK stat can be daunting if you don't get any extra deck plays so he's best used to open the path for the multiple 3k options we have.
Other Aluber!? A card normally not that good in branded is also making a name for itself as an alternate to non-fuisonable bosses on our opponent's field: The Bystial Aluber becomes really powerful if your opponent only has dragons due to buster dragon's effect as he's just a "quick-play"change of heart we can access through engine.
2 Birds? Hands that start with Meccurrier feel custom, playing through interaction with little effort.
Side Deck I've gotten a feel for what stuffs me in the format and it holds some silver bullets of our own. The Kaiju is to increase our odds of getting one in Lunalight matchup and gives a second name (very rarley comes up). A Small Shaddol Engine with Fusion is the strongest "Branded Fusion at Home" that I can muster with 0 points. Five Headed Dragon is primarily for hitting big targets with Punsihment and is the 5k monster of choice because we can sometimes make it with our albaz's effect (after using Alba-Lenatus they never see it coming). Khaos Starscourge is sidded in when you know they can break the Buster Dragon lock easily. Brigand is a similar story, he's slotted in when our normal gameplan is being countered hard. The Lanceas are for countering the Konami mandated "D-Fissure and Dimension Shifter are not Floodgates" which stuff us out almost 100% in this list. When siding the lanceas also side in the Shaddoll engine so High Spirits has a proper target when you don't get Shaddoll Fusion. IDP with our end board is criminal, I side it in when I know I'm going first.
