Welcome to Booster 1 Constructed. Here, there are no monsters with more than 3 levels, there are less than 10 spell cards to choose from, no traps, no effect monsters, nothing with more than 1000 ATK. I hope you are ready for the most miserable Yugioh experience of your life.
Out of the 7 spell cards available to us, 5 are weak equip spells (the 5 equips reprinted from Vol. 1), and 2 are just utter garbage (Ramiei and Blue Medicine). Of the 5 equip spells, only 3 are very good, because the other two (for beasts and zombies) don't have a single good target in this format. "Good" meaning "has more than 800 attack". Of the 3 that are good, we have creatures with 900 attack to go with them: Warriors, Spellcasters, and Aquas.
More specifically monster-wise, we have two monsters with 1000 attack, but no equips (ryu-kishin and wattkid). We have a smattering of monsters with 900 attack and also good equips (Doron and Vishwar for Legendary Sword; Twin Long Rods and Water Element for Aqua; and finally Hurrical for our lonely Spellcaster). Then there are the dregs we pick up just because we need to fill deck space: Here you might want to go for 900 attackers with no equip (Ersatz, Yamatano, Nightmare Scorpion), or you might want to go for 800 or less attacks with a good typing (Djinn and Dewan). Here I've done the latter for the most part. A variant on the deck (such as it is) foregoes this to include 3 copies of Beast Fangs and 3 copies of the 800-attack-having Synchar.
Anyways, almost none of that matters, because Battle Warrior is in this format.
At 1000 DEF, this warrior is the ultimate meat wall. There is no getting over this immense fortress without an equip spell... And if you get a Legendary Sword or two on it, the game is almost certainly going to deck-out.
So good luck, have fun!
(You won't.)
