We're in the era of the post April 2025 banlist with Maliss and Ryzeal nerfed to a large degree, meaning the power level of TCG Yugioh feels like much lower. This means that rogue decks can come out and play, making it the perfect opportunity for Raye to shine! Blinding second to sky strike through boards right now feels extremely easy since most meta decks establish boards that are brittle with few negates. This meta enables Sky Striker to equalize the gamestate and outgrind with their engine using its unparallelled resource generation, especially with triple Engage and triple Kagari. So I thought I should test my hypothesis out in OMEGA ladder!
Also, what did you guys think about the Sky Striker promotional video? It was hype, sure, it was amazing seeing "Afterburners" animated, it was cool hearing Raye and Roze speak... BUT DAMN was that underwhelmingly short! I sure hope they do better with future Sky Striker episodes, because it certainly didn't live up to the hype, especially with Masterduel's solo mode's cutscenes being vastly superior. In the meantime, we can still enjoy OBLITERATING our opponent's boards with power spells blinding second, then winning with Raye's unmatched martial prowess! We can also look forward to Duelist Advance's Sky Striker support, which will push Raye to new levels of competitive power!
