Floowandereeze was the last deck I played before basically leaving the game for good and It was for the longest time the most competitive deck I had played. Yes, everyone hated the barrier statue lock, but it was the same strategy that everyone else was playing at the time. I probably could have stayed a lot longer since Tear was becoming meta when I left but safe to say I was done with Yugioh for a while. It's just unfortunate that some of the only good budget decks to play at times are the ones most likely to be hated by the player base by design
Quick tangent aside, it's still a competent rogue deck. You won't get to barrier statue lock anymore, you still have access to a good variety of tools for a decent control deck (a lot like how Monarchs used to play). Avian is a generic negate, Snowl is an interruption, and Raiza is removal. Simorgh can potentially lock down your opponent's Spell/Traps with Anti-spell Fragrance and is occasionally recycled from the graveyard by banishing Dimension Shifters stuck in your hands. It is more bricky than it used to be, but it is still a fun local deck. The only other criticism I have is that you have to have an understanding of the chain link effects and chain blocking.
